it really could just be me, though i have asked others playing in the server, but i have to say that the server is the worst i have ever seen it. dropping the server tic down to 66 and adding more slots to it imo was a bad idea. i find that it now lags when there are over 15 people on it and it has been registering way worse than it normally does. i was on it earlier today and it was great when it was 5v5. now tonight i cant stand getting shot by lag bullets or just having 13 to 14 people on a team.

 

if there was a post about anything like this sorry i didnt take the time to search for it.

I'm pretty sure they did a stress test last night, i haven't seen any post from it though. I'm sure if the server is having problems we'll get them fixed, or at least come up with a solution to get her back up and running 100%. Thanks for the heads up.

Well, I was playing last night with Soldat, and I had very little choke (Less than 5, which is usually for me on Recrud). The only performance issues I had were Vista graphic issues (Usually get 200+ fps, with Vista maybe 80 - 100 fps). I did have a few lag burbs, where I was frozen for 2 - 5 seconds at a time. But that happend only around 4 times, and I was playing for about 4 or 5 hours.

I too thought that the extra people have slowed down the server a bit, but then again it could just be my old computer (bought it in '02) can't handle the additional infomation that it needs to process. My fps has never been real good, but maybe with a little extra construction work this summer, I'll be able to afford a new system! Anyone need a new house?

im still seeing a difference when there are 15+ people in the server. was playing earlier today and it was great when it was 5v5 or 6v6. bullets registering great and not the least bit lagy in any firefights, but when there were alot of people in even in a 1on1 fight i was seeing a little difference. i could just be really picky with the performance though. i play on the ex-e server as well and i dont have the same problems when there are more people in the server and it is also a chicago server.

 

my main beef is the tic rate change. 100tic is so much nicer than 66.

maybe we'll set it to 100 tic and see what happens....

cool... ill be sure to see if it helps me or not. 100tic is always the way to go unless you plan on having alot of 56kers on. makes the server better quality.
