gmail + imap + iphone = heaven

so the iphone automatically fetches the past 30 days worth of messages in any of your gmail powered accounts. with 2.5 *legitimate* accounts (1 personal, 1 work, 1/2 gc), that put me right around 1500 emails. i finally sacked up and started 3rd partying my phone, which requires a restore to get started. in other words, i would have had to go through all 1500 emails and manually deleted them. no thanks.

even if my accounts weren't hosted by gmail, i'd probably forward them through gmail just to use their super awesome spam filter (hear that mo, praise for something other than apple!).
