So I'm trying to figure out a system (minus monitor, mouse, keyboard) for a friend for around 700 - 900 dollars. I've found this stuff, seems ok, but was wondering if anyone else has some ideas. This stuff comes to around 950 after tax and shipping.

save some money on the cpu and bump the vid card to a hd 3850. i have the ram and hdd and both are solid. case and psu is awesome.

overclocking is your friend. go for the 6550 instead and just bump the fsb to 400 for cpu at 2.8ghz. ram will be 1:1 and mobo should do it no problem.
