Gunman March 26, 2003 Share Gunman Member March 26, 2003 That is a great mobo/processor combo, I have the same one. I believe I recommended it to Grut, seems to be working out great for him. Gunny
Guest RedMagic March 26, 2003 Share Guest RedMagic Guests March 26, 2003 i also have the P4S8X mobo. i love it except the intergrated sound saving money to buy new sound card but other than that it is very awesome easy bios cool feautres on desktop that comes with it...but there has been some concern with the bad "batch" of P4S8X but i believe ASUS has fixed that problem. Gunman March 27, 2003 Share Gunman Member March 27, 2003 If you need it, then go for it, otherwise the ASUS P4PS8X is just fine. Works like a charm, easy to figure out, and has good fsb. Gunny
Guest ZDamage March 28, 2003 Share Guest ZDamage Guests March 28, 2003 I am not an Intel fan. Over priced and the price / performance to not match up to what AMD offers. But I would say that the SIS chipsets for Intel are pretty good and would recommend some of those.
Lunk April 9, 2003 Share Lunk Member April 9, 2003 Gunny-Does this board support RDRAM? I haven't had a chance to check it out yet. LUNK>Mag
[VI]ROosTEr April 9, 2003 Share [VI]ROosTEr Member April 9, 2003 I am running an SIS chipset. It is rock solid, and smokes. Give us a little more detail on mobo requiremnts, like do you want Serial ATA? Integrated sound? RAM type? Ethernet? RAID? I use a SoYo P4S DRAGON Ultra. It's a great board, the 5.1 integrated sound is awesome, and the onboard RAID is a nice addition too.
