I had mentioned that I had seen him one other time which is a hard one to catch.

 

its right after raven holm you come out the mines. when you reach the train tracks you'll fight a few combine.

if you run to the corner or hop on top of the trains you'll catch him in the back train yard.

 

running to the corner is the easiest way cause you'll have to stack stuff to hop on the train.

Yeah, you see him a few times in e1 and e2 as well. I thought it was cool that they do that. Don't you also see him near where you get the car? Or is that e2... now I'm confused

You actually see him (don't quote me) 6 times besides the cut scenes and what you mentioned. Cool stuff. He's in ep1 and 2 a bunch as well...

i don't recall seeing him in ep2 (excluding the cutscenes)

 

i must be not paying enough attention or something

I wasn't even looking for him in ep 1 and 2.

 

...actually, neither was I in HL2.

I saw him one time unexpectedly in Ep2 but I cant remember where or was that in Portal?

i saw him alot of times in hl1-hl2 ep1 ep2, even in opposing force, as i remember you usually see him before entering in a big fight or zone, and when i redid the game with cheats i noclip'ed to his position, but he was just walking as usual and then he disapeared, like always

Do episode 2 with the directors commentary on...that is pretty cool & enlightening. You get to see when a where they give you glimpses of him and what it means...
