Tracid August 25, 2008 Share Tracid Member August 25, 2008 I heard Olevia went bankrupt, now another company is taking over their almost $200 million debts/assets or something like that.
Preacher August 25, 2008 Author Share Preacher Member August 25, 2008 I don't know much about the company but I saw this same TV for $4999 at Costco last month.
anonymo August 25, 2008 Share anonymo Member August 25, 2008 Did you just edit this Preach? Anyways, I was sure I saw someone post that Sharp manufactures Olevia TVs. They actually get their panels from LG and the parent company of Olevia, Syntax-Brillian, just filed for chapter 11 in July. Olevia also manufactures the Insignia brand. LG panels are good, but prey they never break down out of warranty as the repairs usually cost well into 70% of the original purchase price. Cujo August 25, 2008 Share Cujo Member August 25, 2008 unless you're sitting 15+ feet back from the tv this is massively overkill. sharp makes several aquos models of varying quality. any idea which model would have this panel?

Preacher August 25, 2008 Author Share Preacher Member August 25, 2008 (edited) I have a great sound system too, I wish I had the cash to drop on this right now. Then I could make my eyes bleed with the visual while my H-K 7.1 surround Sound system caused me to lose all control of my body functions.
