Peckles December 7, 2010 Author Share Peckles Member December 7, 2010 (edited) Wrote a new song. Not a lot to say about it, really. Rather noisy, needs some mixing work. (On a slightly related note, this is currently the only song of mine I have hosted, since I've been messing around with server stuff. All the other song links are dead, for now.) Linky: Assault & Flattery Lyrics: I can't believe she noticed me, The finest form of flattery, She picked me right out from the crowd, She must believe I'm well endowed, She locked my eyes deep within hers, And then she reached inside her purse, And then with endless flow and grace, She smashed a brick right in my face, Right in my face, I think it's affecting my short term memory, As I began recovering, My sight was slowly returning, I thought I saw her loving eyes, It must have been a sly disguise, I think I'm bleeding from my nose, She starts removing all my clothes, I'm not quite sure where this will go, When suddenly she lets me know, I'm gonna tear you limb from limb, It might become a little grim, But if it's any consolation, It's an expert amputation, I'm not even close to done, I am having too much fun, After all, there's nothing wrong-a, With a little extreme head trauma, I'm dripping wet with my own blood, It's like a massive sanguine flood, I'm torn apart by fright and love, And by the acts described above, As though she senses all my fear, she gently whispers in my ear, Now darling, don't put up a fuss, Because you're soon to be concussed, And now my brain is slightly muddled, And my thoughts are quite befuddled, I feel more and more ashamed, Rather than proud she knows my name, I can't imagine what I gain, From playing victim in this game, But then she kneels down by my side, And softly starts to tell me why, I'm gonna tear you limb from limb, It might become a little grim, But if it's any consolation, It's an expert amputation, I'm not even close to done, I am having too much fun, After all, there's nothing wrong-a, With a little extreme head trauma, And now I'm torn between a choice, I find it hard to use my voice, But then she says, assuredly, That you belong right here with me, I can't take much more of this, My body's in paralysis, But deep within I feel a beat, I'm like an animal in heat, I see her face through all the pain, But I don't even know her name, I try to ask, but I fall short, Because my lungs have no support, Then she reaches down to me, And holds me close so I can see, And grabs me firmly by the hair, And starts to tell me why she cares, I'm gonna hold you every day, I'll miss you when you go away, If you can handle all my wrongs, The rights will only be prolonged, When I chose you I could tell, That I could put you straight through hell, And when you make the other side, Our hearts would fill with love and pride. Peckles December 8, 2010 Author Share Peckles Member December 8, 2010 Apparently I've been bored and lazy this week. I have another hastily thrown together song, with uncorrected pitch issues that make me cringe. Anyway, it's a Christmas song, called Christmas Stalking. Not based on personal experience. At least, none that I haven't repressed. Linky: Christmas Stalking Lyrics: I think I'm being followed, But I don't care, cause tomorrow, Is a very special day, Because we'll all go out to play, The snow is white, the moment's right, We might just have a snowball fight, I hope we don't put on a show, For some old creep in his window, It's Christmas, and I'm not alone, There's someone else inside my home, It must be either Santa Claus, Or someone trying to break the law, I hear some heavy breathing, They might not have their teeth in, I wish that I had locked the door, Don't want this Christmas Stalking any more, I peek my head in to my room, And there's a man in elf costume, I scream and try to run away, He catches me, to my dismay, I beg and plead for my release, He nails me to the mantelpiece, I tell him that I've had enough, I just don't want my stocking stuffed, It's Christmas, and I'm not alone, There's someone else inside my home, It must be either Santa Claus, Or someone trying to break the law, I hear some heavy breathing, They might not have their teeth in, I wish that I had locked the door, Don't want this Christmas Stalking any more, This happened without my consent, A terrible experience, but since the man had let me live, At least I have advice to give, Be careful when you ask someone, Just what it is they do for fun, If you don't want a big surprise, Watch out for fat men in disguise, It's Christmas, and I'm not alone, There's someone else inside my home, It must be either Santa Claus, Or someone trying to break the law, I hear some heavy breathing, They might not have their teeth in, I wish that I had locked the door, Don't want this Christmas Stalking any more. Peckles January 4, 2011 Author Share Peckles Member January 4, 2011 So very few, if any, of my previous links work any more, since I've been doing some meddling with my content. I'll post a bunch of links once I get them back up and running. For now, I've got a new song! I'm not posting the lyrics because there are a few naughty words in it. You will not understand this song if you have not seen the movie 'The Room', and I think everyone should see it. It's awful but entertaining. Those who have seen it, enjoy the topical lyrics. It's called 'Oh Hi Lisa'. Anyway, here's the link to my new, very unfinished, web site: Linky
Peckles May 10, 2011 Author Share Peckles Member May 10, 2011 So with my Oat Poets project taking up the vast majority of my creative juices, I haven't done a lot of work on my own. But I've done some work on covers. The only one I've finished so far (sort of) is a cover of 'Origin of Love', which is from an interesting movie called 'Hedwig and the Angry Inch'. I like the original better than mine, but if I didn't like the original, I suppose I wouldn't have done a cover. Anyway. Origin of Love The original on YouTube can be enjoyed
