My many thanks to the people of this forum

After about a year and a half of asking questions on these forums about various hardware concerns I have had I've finally upgraded my box.

I went from a Dell 400W PSU to a BFG 800W

and from an nVidia 7300 LE to an overclocked nVidia 9600 GT

The result of these two upgrades is that I can now run every game I own (with the exception of Portal for come reason) on high settings without hickups and a higher fps than I was getting on my old card at lower settings

 

I would really like to thank everyone who answered all my newbish questions about hardware whatnot, especially Preacher, Dweezle, Samurai Nightling, and Dark Archon. I realize that it might have been exasperating for all of you to answer the same questions over and over again from the same person. I'll be kind and give you guys a breather before I start asking RAM questions

Glad to hear it's up and running! I have absolutely no recollection of answering any questions, so that means I definitely wasn't annoyed (or was SO annoyed that I have blocked it from my memory)

Hey, congrats man. It took you a year and a half to upgrade just your PSU and GPU? Probably need to start on your next one now then.
