bushwack October 22, 2009 Share bushwack Member October 22, 2009 For those running Win7 RC, are you going to format and install the retail release or continue running RC? I preordered but so far I have no intentions of installing the retail release for some time, maybe not till I get a new CPU in a few months. Any downside in doing so? Also, I am dual booting XP with Win7. Is validating my copy of XP going to kill it? I'm getting the upgrade and I was thinking you have to verify your XP install through the net and not the CD like in the past.

Laz.e.rus October 26, 2009 Share Laz.e.rus Member October 26, 2009 Interesting.... I get Win7 Home Premium upgrade for free from my Vista, OR I get Win7 Professional RTM from my school.
NorgmaN October 27, 2009 Share NorgmaN Member October 27, 2009 These are the "big" differences. I got W7Pro, works like a champ. Has a couple of extra goodies, may never use any of it, but you never know. Personally after getting Vista Ultimate for my Laptop, I was kinda disappointed. Went from WinXP Pro to Win7Pro today, clean install runs flawless. More happy is here!
