Need help finding something

[ZeroDamage]

I sold my 4870 x2 to Preacher and apparently it died in transit. In order to get warranty service, I need a copy of the receipt and I honestly cannot recall where I got it from. I cannot imagine that I did not make a comment in these forums in 2008-2009 of where I bought it from. It isn't Newegg, Tiger direct, or mwave. zipzoomfly has been on my do-not-buy-from list for a long while so I did not use them. It must have been a site that was recommended but I did not use again. Anyone remember anything or have any ideas?

Looked at them all and I got nothing. No mention of where I bought it. Man how stupid. This is why you should stick with the well known Neweggs and the like. I remember buying this card from somewplace I normally do not but I cannot recall where.

I bought my regular 4870 in July of 2008 so something after that is when I got the 4870x2. It was preacher that got my regular 4870 as well. Damnit!

Couldn't you search your old emails? Surely receipts, etc would list the manufacturer and model name.

I would think you would have a paper receipt when you received it from ups/whoever.

Beyond that what was the main source of communication you two used?

I refunded Preacher and he is sending it back to me. Maybe I can fix it and make it work again. I've always wanted to try out the "Baking" trick but haven't had anything to try it on. So here we go (when I get the card back). I probably did have a receipt btw but moving and the like probably means it got lost or tossed.

What manufacturer is it and did you possibly register it with them?

If it was Sapphire you are likely OK.....OH nm I see it was a Visiontek
