Playaa April 21, 2003 Share Playaa Member April 21, 2003 so I think some ppl are going to sites on my computer that I don't really approve of. I have this program called X3Watch that sits in my taskbar and when a "questionable" site is visited it logs it and sends the information to an email address. But I want further information on this. I want to get a free keylogger that will hide in my taskbar and I want to know any other ways to find out who's doing it........anyone?
[VI]ROosTEr April 21, 2003 Share [VI]ROosTEr Member April 21, 2003 How many people have access to your computer? If it is like a family or something, you could set up user accounts, etc..

dwEEziL April 21, 2003 Share dwEEziL Member April 21, 2003 I have never used them but my job requires me to be security consious so here is one I know of. http://www.ntsecurity.nu/toolbox/ (look for KLogger) There are a ton of free keyloggers out there but like I said, I have never used them so can't really suggest one over the other. [VI]ROosTEr April 21, 2003 Share [VI]ROosTEr Member April 21, 2003 I used one called spy buddy. It isn't free, but it e-mails you the keylogs so you never have to store them on your PC.
dwEEziL April 21, 2003 Share dwEEziL Member April 21, 2003 Also, don't forget the legal ramifications involved. It might be your computer but unless you have had them sign a document saying they can assume no level of privacy or have a sign on banner to that effect, you could be getting yourself in trouble. (Sorry, I am a sys admin at a university and have to think of these things all the time)

Fatty April 22, 2003 Share Fatty GC Founder April 22, 2003 How about you just go to whoever it is (you probably know) and tell them that if they do it again they will never be allowed to use the computer again? Heck with spying, it's time for a sit-down.
