You can do one of two things.

 

1. Go to your favorite hardware store and get some lock washers and put them between the nut and the flat washer.

 

2. Go to your favorite auto store and get some "Lok-tite" (I think that's how they spell it). Just put a few dabs on the end of each bolt where the nut is and tighten them up. There are a couple of different flavors of this stuff, I believe the red would probably be best for your application.
