I watch some demos of cal-i players and if they are limited of money they seem to buy an mp5 + armour and helmet instead of buying a m4 with no armour, so i guess it does have a pretty big effect.

Ah boy, the pikey's are starting to come into the swimming pool that I work at, and as they are all antisocial complete and utter idiotic slobs (putting it kindly) I hope none of them try to beat me up when I tell them not to dive in backwards or break every other single rule that there is in the pool. the thing is with pikeys that you cant fight them because theres always 1 or more, and they have a strong boxing culture so you know they are fighters. Despite this, everyone hates them so they have lots of fighting experience, and they are quick to anger.

*Cries* Just starting my hardcore work routine. Worked 2.30-10.30 today, got to get up tomorrow morning at 5.30 to cycle to work for 6.15 and then home at 3.30... carries on like that for a month or two, and then hopefully I'm looking to land a job doing childrens holiday play scheme things. Sorry for messing everybody about, trying to arrange pick ups and stuff, but parents are putting a lot of pressure on me to get work to save financial strain on the family. I guess its best not to clock up £750+ on a trip to america, i think my parents would be insulted as they arnt going on a summer holiday this year so they can save up for tuition fees next year. It also doesnt help that in London my flat rent is like £235 a week (split between 2 people) where as in other places in the country its about £100 for a 2 bedroom flat. Then all the bills fall into place and money gets shorter etc. Heaven knows what would happen if I was born a year later, tuition fees nearly tripple next year So yeah sorry for building it up a lot, after all I think it was only a distinct possibility

England dominated the 1st half, but in the second half our manager changed the formation and we got dominated. That ref will probably not ref another world cup game as he was so useless, too many pathetic decisions went against England. Its not an excuse for playing rubbish, but it didnt help. I hope England can play to their potential in future matches, if we do we have a good chance of progressing far. Them own goals are kinda intentional by the way, they've happened in a few practice matches (scrims ). Its the way beckham delivers the free kicks, in a place where the ball is very hard to clear, and then the spin on the ball means that when its headed its got more of a chance of ending up in the back of the net. Not luck, skill Beckham is our AWP. Lampard and Gerrard usually dominate midfield, watch out for their dangerous shots from outside the box as them two both know how to hit the ball, Gerrard scoring some absolute beauties during the season. Geographically we are part of Europe. Politically/Economically we are more part of Europe than not part of Europe. We don't use the Euro because our countries economy was not at the right stage of introduce a single currency, and when previous exchange rate fixing schemes were in place te UK had to pull out as it forced our economy into a slump. Also, lots of people have pride in the pound as its our unique currency. We have a lot of EU legislation entrenched into our laws. The biggest example being the Human rights act/conventions, something that the UK contributed a lot to when the drafting took place. Our courts have to follow the decisions made in the european courts of human rights and the european court of justice (whatver its called), and a lot of EU legistation is copied into our legislation. We all sign quite a few treaties here and there, which further intergrates us with Europe. However, you have to recognise that our legal system is very different from the legal systems in other countries in Europe. Firstly, quite a few of our laws are different, secondly, our constitution and law making authorities are different, and most importantly our parliamentary soveriengty is important, as for our parliament to remain te supreme power then they should be allowed to amend/repeal the EU legislation. On a side note, we hate the Germans, initially from the wars, but now mainly due to Football. We hate the french because (a) they are french ( they are french and © they are french, but we kind of feel sorry for them because they keep trying to win wars but can't quite manage

After such a big build up the biggest event of the year is starting! Something like 1.5billion viewers from across the world are expected to tune in and watch the final, the opening game in the group stages starting today with the host nation Germany. I dont know about you guys, but England has been going mad with the hype and preparation. If you ever walk down a street you see at least 5 cars with england flags sticking off the roof, people flying the flags high from windows and lamp posts and people bringing home their new plasma TV to watch all the games on. Anyone noticed different running/walking/strafing/crawling speeds?

I remember them adverts being shown on TV, think they got banned due to animal rights complaining about it. Theres a couple more funny ones like that out there, one where the bonnet flips something off of it whilst driving.

I just spent a bit of time looking for a mouse mat/pad, and the basic result of my research said "dont get ripped off". I wouldn't be surprised if all the pro-gamers got paid to play with them mouse pads so dont let sponsorship confuse you on performance. In the end I ended up skipping all the fancy 'pro-gamer' mouse mats and just got a pad a bit better than standard from pcworld. It works a treat. Ofcourse, the best thing to do is try them all out, go round friends houses etc (get geek and emph to buy different ones, using them as bait ) and see what you like best - although this isn't normally possible.

The tv card was only blocking the for a small while wen i put everything back in the case. anyway, I'm back to the same problem, but its got a little twist this time just to make things interesting: If I run cs on high settings (no cfgs or anything) then it will do the old turn off trick. If I run cs in low cfg settings/800x600 resolution, it will work just fine. I'm still trying to work out what exact settings cause it to turn off but any ideas on the solution?

Problem solved, tv card had a little notch blocking the gpu fan from spinning. Luckily I found it today on my first boot up, so I dont think anything is damaged. Benchmarked again and I got 8046. This is reasonably good for my specs right?

I traced the problem back to a faulty power extension lead (plug this into mains socket, then this provide power for 4 plugs). Plugging the psu directly into the mains worked a treat. Kind of basic yes I know but I usually have all the wires stored away out of sight and this didnt catch my attention early on. Well, problems are still occuring, I benchmarked at 5770 (benchmark 3d 2003), which isn't good for my specs correct?? 1) When I installed the graphics card and the system failed for the first time, on the next boot up it told me that there was not enough power and that the graphics card was lowering its power requirement. Is this low power setting still on? I've gone through all my driver settings and options but I cant find nothing related to power, so is this automatically controlled? 2)I noticed my gpu temp is at 127 inside the gpu, and about 75 outside (celcius) - are these good temperatures? I ask thi because there is a tv card directly infront of the graphics card which may b blocking airflow leading to the g-card heatin up and underperforming 3) Any other possible solutions for my poor benchmark? I can get a reformat done this coming weekend.
