Piranesi: 261 total wins; 83 ct wins; 178 t wins. percent of total wins belonging to cts: 32% Dust2: 983 total wins; 372 ct wins; 611 t wins. percent of total wins belonging to cts: 38% Dust: 757 total wins; 429 ct wins; 328 t wins. percent of total wins belonging to ts: 43% My conclusion is that the amount of wins of a certain side does not necessarily correlate to whether or not the map in question is unbalanced. Most of us agree that dust2 is one of the most balanced maps to date, yet based on the percentage of wins by the cts, it would appear to be less balanced than dust. Furthermore, Piranesi is tipped towards T wins only 6% of the time more than dust2. Also, with the amount of total wins as they are, with less than 3 wins on a given side, the percentage of wins to a side on piranesi would change by one point. It would take almost 10 wins on a side for dust2 to change that same percentage point. I say that first of all: these numbers don't show balance; and second of all: even if they did, piranesi would need to accumulate more total wins to be effectively compared in this manner.

  4. True, true, and true. What I'm seeing now, though, is venice dumping the server of about half the players. Happened just last night. Putting XCOM in its place would see much less player loss, I do believe. (for at least a week, I daresay.) I like how this is working, quite honestly. Save for the removal of piranesi (which I still don't see as T-sided , and I never witnessed a player dump to the extent of venice. nothing out of the ordinary anyways.) throwing in a custom map to see how it plays out for a week or so is fantabulous. If it doesn't work out, pop another one in. You'll know if it's not working, we'll come on here and bug the crap outta ya clue. (venice)

  7. dust, aztec, office is indeed pretty scary... (except that office rules ) can you tweak the votemap? what if you set it so that almost everyone had to vote for the map, say 18 or 20 votes or so? Something like 75% or more. (perhaps also make votemap need a minimum of 10 or so votes so that if there's only like 5 people in the server, the maps can't be continually switched) In that case, most of the time a map would never get on per a vote, save for a few times when everyone really really wants a certain map. And with votemap, you have your choice of all possible maps on the server, right? not just the maps in rotation? If that were the case, every now and then (when nearly everyone wants it) a map not in rotation could be played as well. <shakes his fist and marches around the GC compound waving signs and screaming.>
  8. I would love to see a votemap thrown in mayhem. Has this ever been discussed? If it has, I was not privy. At any rate, I have always been a fan of servers with a votemap. It can't be wrong if everyone agrees, right? Fancy 'ol democracy. Is it an option with the admin tools you use? If so, what kind of options does it allow? I am curious.

  11. well then I'll put up with aztec() if you put up with office(). There's no way piranesi was more T sided than dust is CT sided... that's all I have to say about that.

  13. throw in a pack of gum and it's a deal. but seriously the last inferno I played... de_inferno_soop I believe it was... was very unstable. If they had an official inferno I'd bet it would be in rotation already.
  14. My current map thoughts: Venice is fun; for five minutes. The map is much too small IMO. Still don't like aztec, wish it would go away. Bring back prodigy! prodigy
  15. The console only shows damage dealt while you were alive. Nade kills after you die still count on your stats. I do not know... you must be really bored.
  16. Yeah, your name is never actually changed unless you go ahead and change it. It just appears that way to others that were in the server before you. (see above )
