I got CS in a package deal when I puchased the original HL around 2001. (yeah i know i'm behind the times!) I tried it once or twice but was far more interested in the single player games. It was not until I picked up HL2 which came with CSS around January 2005 that I started playing. Even then it was not until I finished HL2. Maybe around February 2005. I guess 4 months.

RIGHT ON!!!!! Not sure about jungle & vertigo, but qubec & chateau are rockin maps!!!! In fact I've been putting in some extra time on our west server because of chateau!!!!!

Playing in stock server a little while this morning. Guy's name is skullz. steam id 0:1:7493219 EVERY shot is a headshot! I would have done a demo but don't know how. This guy was not even aiming & he was getting headshots! scores of 23 - 3 30 - 2 Total domonation. Hack? Dunno. Maybe he's just incredibly good. shoot from around corners & stuff!

I've given more thought to my post. Your absolutely right Fatty! I was quick to point my finger, as is too often my case. I have been almost exclusivly on scopeless for some time now & I'm missing the boat. I am also a regular of custom maps night on scopeless, so I really don't have anything to complain about. I also think I am too often playing at the same times everyday which tends to take me right back to the same maps. My apologies for unnessesarily jumping the gun guy's! You guy's do a fantastic job here, and I regret forgetting that! I will remember your post Shodan, Thank-You! I might take you up on that offer & ask you to wisk us away to Havanna!

Laz, I don't know what your willing to spend. I got the AGP ATI x850 xt This card rocks if your unwilling to make the switch to pci-e just yet. Retails around $500.00 I get A LOT more HS than I used to. With 1 gb of RAM I'm getting between 137 - 141 FPS (around 127-131 with USB headset) NO REGRETS!

I constantly find myself playing the same maps. What's wrong with prodigy? or for that matter; chateau, train, compound, heck how about tides? dust/office/aztec/italy/piransi/cbble.....they're good maps, but a broken record is a broken record no matter what song is playing. I have yet to play havanna on a GC server. What's wrong with havanna? I'm getting a little sick and tired of going into maps that guys know like the back of their hands. I find I do A LOT better on maps that people have not worn a groove into! CHANGE IS OKAY!

For the past couple of days I have been experiencing problems while playing CSS although the graphics are fine the gameplay has been distorting. I will lose seconds where everyone else is still playing and everything will reappear again. Very similar to what everyone was complaining about while playing inferno. Serious lag & mini crashes. I thought this was a steam problem at first because other people were complaining about it. I asked some people last night though and they said they were fine. Now I'm having a very difficult time connecting at all, and when I do the game does not respond & eventually ejects me from the server. A little red notation in the top right hand corner of the screen comes up saying "warning connection problem" I have checked my internet connection & everything is fine. Other games run fine as well, in fact this is the only problem I have and it's a doozy! Any suggestions? Thank - You!
