  3. A lot of good laser printers are finally under $400. heres one from newegg.com: LEXMARK C510 30 ppm 2400 DPI Color LaserJet Laser Printer - Retail $329.00 But you might find a good used one in the local paper. $329 might still be a little high but its taking forever for color laser printers to come down. Maybe Preacher will see this and point you to a good one he finds a lot of bargains.
  4. On average the US alone consumes 400,000,000 gallons of gasoline a day some years almost twice that. The gas is still fairly high here in SD at $3.10 a gallon. If you assume it averages out at maybe $3.50 a gallon across the country thats roughly $1,400,000,000 a day, or $51,100,000,000,000 a year. And thats just gasoline. Theres also aviation fuel (jp4), deisel, and propane. Someones makin a lot money somewhere. I just checked on the currency exchange rate on the american dollar vs. the mexican peso and here it is: one mexican peso = .54339% of a dollar! Holy smoke their catching up to us. http://www.x-rates.com/calculator.html

  9. I just got off of Alienwares site (Great machines). Went through their online machine configuration option (ya know, where you can build the greatest comp ever, online). When I was done adding up all the top of the line goodies it came to $7,035. So I decided to hop over to Pricewatch.com and build the exact same system part for part. My price: $6100. Wait a year and itll be down about another $1500 bucks. Think I might put one together. LOL
  10. Save some cash and just go with AMD, unless of course you can find good Intel prices. My sytem: Athlon 64 X2 4600 Dual Core Asus A8N-E mboard NVIDIA nForce4 mobo 2GB PC3200 DDR Corsair (2) WD740GD 74GB SERIAL ATA 10000RPM 8MB Antec 500W Power Supply Smart Power 2.0 Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro RADEON X850 XT 256MB GDDR3 Lite On 1673 Dual Layer DVD± 16x8x16x Logitech Z-5500 Digital 5.1 speakers I own a computer repair shop so I get a lot of parts wholesale. AMD is plenty good.
  11. I used to be an Nvidia nut. But when they were having driver issues a few years back I switched to ATI. They seem to have better drivers. The new Nvidia cards have the new improved driver set though but Im still an ATI junkie. ATI seems to get there hardware and software out sooner anyway.
  12. Better dust off my motorcycle and bike.
  13. This might be some better news. ttp://www.suntimes.com/output/business/hurroil31.html
  14. I wasnt aware of the damage in Mexico and all the oilrigs at sea and the people that run them. Thank you I stand educated. But we do have a huge reservoir of oil of our own. Maybe we should be using it?

  16. I had a '94 but what does that have to do with the cost of tea in China? LOL.
  17. The day of 9/11 gas prices started going up to $4 a gallon because of the terrorist incident starting in texas. It then slowly started going up each state throughout the day for a short time till it almost hit South Dakota. Then Peter Jennings got on the air and asked oil companys to be good "corporate citizens" and not gouge the american consumer in our time of crisis. The next day gas prices went back to normal. What a terrorist incident has to do with gas prices I dont know. But not taking anything away from the crisis in louisiana, what does a hurricane have to do with our fuel prices. Most of our crude is processed into gasoline in texas, Wyoming, California and alaska. Can someone educate me on this?
  18. I had the same issue with D3D while playing Team Fortress Classic. Switched to open gl and it was better. Shortly after a new driver was releasd and fixed it.
  19. If your 9500 is running CSS smoothly as well as your other games. You can stick with it if you like. Preachers link shows a good card at a good price though. I had the 9600xt a few months back until i got a 9800xt. Both are planty to run most games.
  20. CWshredder? Dont think I have that one. I run both Norton and AVG at the same time and have very little problems with viruses. Wish I could convey to my customers the importance of this. Thanx Cranky.
  21. Sorry Fatty, my bad. Wont happen again. Would you like me to send flowers or chocolate? lol.
  22. Good. Needed a second opinion on the Trend Micro equipment. I use SBS&D and Adaware religiousely as well as Norton. I havent bothered with Mcaffe in years. Thanx Preach.
  23. Yea, I played this one a while back. Pretty fun. Kinda forces ct and T to work together. They are HARD to kill and works better if players work together and find a bottleneck the zombies have to go through. When this happens its a seriouse shootout. LOL.
  24. Thanx for the tips boys. Try'em all out tonight. Thanx all.
