UT2004 - still my favourite game ever, I just can't move on I only have one heart to give and definitely logged more hours on this than any other game this year. The other four aren't in any particular order: HL2e2 - I'll break up the orange box, because I'm man enough to do that. Portal - nuff said. Gears1/2 - yeah, this is me cheating, though I did play gears1 for PC Boishock - I enjoyed it. Let downs/bored downs - UT3 by far (or was that the year before? either way, biggest let down ever), cod4, crysis (it was fun, just not as fun as I expected) Games yet to play in 2009 - fallout 3 for sure, TFU, though I have an xbox now, so I might not be getting them for PC

Never mind, it's going back to the store. I was thinking/praying about it last night and this morning, and decided to look at the port itself. The connectors were all crossed and not in the plastic "teeth" they were supposed to be separated by. I got them back to where they were supposed to be, but the connection is all loose. Try number 2...

Ok, so I went to play gears 2 with my friends tonight, and we hooked up all 3 systems via router. No problem, except my game was incompatible. Duh, I dont have the updates yet. So we hook it up to the net (via the second router, which was online in the other room), get my live account, yada yada, new dashboard, blah blah blah, ok good to go. Only thing is gears wont update. We fiddled around with it a little bit, finally got it to update. So I plugged back into the first router, and there's no signal to join their game (not even the lights on the router lit up). Ok, we'll reset the router. Nothing. Tried several times, still nothing. Then we decided to just play 2 games of gears, and rockband on the other. We set mine and my friends for system link, I hosted, he joined, no problem. 5 seconds later he lost connection, and we can't reconnect no matter what we do. When I got home, I tried to connect mine to the net, with no luck. Do I have a lemon, or am I doing something wrong? Can updates mess up your machine like this? Is my network connection in the 360 shot? Any ideas?

It's even cheaper to get the 8500 (I have the 8400 constantly @ 3.83 with no problems, heat or otherwise) and a P45 board, like the Asus P5Q Pro or something like it. I have the OCZ reaper ram (1066) and it's been pretty good (had it around 1150 at one time). As for GPU, if you dont want to spend much, 8800GT does ok still, but a 260 is really nice Everyone seems to love theirs.

90 degrees witch way!? 90 degrees is always clockwise, 90 degrees counter-clockwise is really either -90 degrees or 270 degrees...nub. In math 90 degrees (ie. pi/2) is always counter-clockwise, and negative degrees is clockwise. Edit: Though, of course you're talking about rotation. I'm just learning to read.

Nah, I'm probably the one at fault. The initial deal was 2 free games, then I saw the system for cheaper and just assumed it was the same deal, only more $$$ off. Quit coming in here and making me look dumb!

Update: Ok, so I waited in line for about 10-15 minutes this morning at 6:25AM and got the 360 pro. I also bought the quick charge pack. Apparently they're very very smart and Futureshop and thought they needed to give me the 2 free games that came with the bundle (supposed to be indy lego and kungfu panda) but they were out of those. Instead, I got halo3 and some racing game (Gotham racing or something like that) for free. Then I open the box and inside are the 2 games that were supposed to come free anyway. So I got 4 games, recharger kit, and the pro (with the usual stuff that comes with it) for $338 with tax. Unfortunately I didn't get the Jasper edition, but I'm ok with that because you can't tell until you open the box anyway. As far as FutureShop being their Best Buy, I just thought that the US didn't have FS, so the closest thing they had to it was BB. Someone from "down there" made that comparison once, so yeah. Maybe it is too cold. Thanks for the info btw, I'll keep my eye out for the 12.1A. Part of the reason I'm waiting is that I'm most likely going to get some gift certificates too. Hopefully they don't sell ALL of them before I get there. Either way, I could buy arcade and a 60GB hdd for $5 more than just buying a pro... I think that the Elite is overkill for me. I can't see myself wanting to upgrade ever, to be honest. Thanks for your advice though!
