    New Clan

You were kicked out. [Mmmm] core has never once been apart. Some pieces may have fallen off/cut off, but Mmmm has been alive since we started. The ones that were kicked joined with some that left and created that short term clan SoS. I thought it was kinda kewl to see you back around, and yes the topic of adding you back in was put to a vote. The results were to observe for awhile and make a decision at a later date. The infant [Mmmm] of 3 years ago we are not. This observation period was to see what type of person you had become ingame as well as out of game; which has become quite clear....For that we thank you.

  4. yes it for ghosting only. i would like to say in laymans terms...get image from \\pc1\images\new.gho where the name pc1 gets mapped to the XP machine that is up and running.
  5. Have a client that run a small business. They have cable modem/router and around 10 people accessing the internet through it. They would like to monitor/control where people go without spending too much $$. I have used MS ISA server in the past but this was too much $$ for them. Any other ideas / cheaper products?
  6. Yes in thoery I could do this. I have to repeat this procedure at 227 locations nationwide, so you can see the management nitemare trying to make all the boot disks with specific IPs and HOPE they dont reboot their machine before they get it. As it stands now the solution I am going with is sending out a new HD to each location. They ship old HD back to me, my team reimages it, then ships out to next site. [repeat process 227 times]. The router, adtran, jetdirect are all static, but for ease of use, the PCs/Laptops get DHCP. The IOS itself can handle DNS, but no it does not give out DNS info. But DNS wasnt the issue - NetBios was/is. No the .GHO file would be ON the XP machine. And yes you can ghost the XP OS. We have multiple XP ghost images we use across the company.
  7. Situation: LAN setup: one XP Pro machine gets IP/Gateway from a Cisco 1721 router. I have a Linux machine that I want to use a Ghost boot disk and access the image on the XP machine. Cant map drive using machine name as Cisco Router doesnt give out NetBios info, can't use IP as the XP machine is DHCP'd and I can't guarentee what it would be. Cant use bootable CDROM as these machines dont have CDROM drives, and costs to get them is too high. How to ghost the Linux box using an image located on the XP machine?
  8. the 64MB 9500 is 142.oo on newegg, the 128MB 9500 is 159.oo the 128MB 9500 PRO is 180.oo ... not 140.00 as ZD has stated. big difference between the plain 9500 and their PRO model. some card rankings on Toms Hardware Rankings - high end system test, based on diff CPUs
