M2 - Exploit has nothing to do with what ya can do in real life ya noob On Nuke in CS1.6, there are exploits with flashes where if you throw a flash under a box, it flashes the entire map. The walls and such in D2 in Source aren't an exploit though. They're just not brushed to the cieling. Part of Valve "showing off" the new engine.

Think DJ just summed it up. Thanks bud--and I appreciate you settling it. If you watch any Source demos on Dust2, it's a part of all D2 strats. And I'd say that you guys did adjust, you fell back and awped from the A site. Kept us out of Long A for a few rounds until you ran outta money again. Great game though. We should do it again with a lottery of other folks who get to play--lotta people didn't get a chance, and I'm sure they'd love the opportunity.

My record is: New Year's Eve, 1999. My buddy was stuck on base at Fort Bragg, NC. Known him since high school. He called me at 2pm. Woke me up. It's normally a 6.5hr drive each way from my old place in Arlington, VA (just outside of DC) to Fort Bragg, but there was no way I was leaving him down there on the eve of the new millenium to miss the party. I left at 3pm. I made it down in 4.5 hours (it's now 730pm, Dec 31st, 1999), average about 90mph. Picked him up, grabbed some quick dinner at BK, and got back on the road at 815pm. Drove at 130mph the whole way back up to the party (an hour north of DC) and arrived on the doorstep of the party at 1145pm, Dec 31st, 1999. My Acura Integra got a work out that night. Roads were basically empty. No radar detector either. Every time we came up against speedtrap, some idiot would blow past me at 140 ish. Theyd' get pulled over and I would slow down to 75ish or so to pass them. Made a 7.5hr trip in 3.5hours. Our buds had shots and beers waiting for us. Good times.

If you're using your tweaked config ZD, try clearing it to defaults. There was a couple of settings in it which I had problems with back then (don't recall now). I'll post my current configs when I get home. I got them from a buddy of mine and they're hellah nicely commented out.

MMoG guild I hang with sometimes has someone in beta. It's terrible, but still early beta. He says that they may be able to get some of their act together to make a decent game, but it won't be a really great one.

3 ppl in my old MMOG guild went to WoW instead of EQ2. Within 10 days they were capped in level and bored. WoW is evidently lots of fun for a short (time played) amount of time. Once you finish it, you're waiting around (just like diablo2) for more stuff to do. They're now playing EQ2 with the rest of that guild. EQ2 by comparison, is a much more involved and traditional MMOG, with much, much more content to explore. That being said, I would not say taht one isn't better than the other, they're different kinds of MMoG's. It depends what you have time for. I rarely have time to play anything at all, what little I do goes into CS: Source for the most part. But I played beta's for both eq2 and for WoW, and I still have a EQ2 account, but never bought WoW.

All out knife fight would be better I think. But whatevah the community votes for. One by one would take... 15minutes if two guys like me go toe to toe with knives. We'd be missing for 3minutes straight.

hrm too bad. My MMOG guild is on GuK. I have an account on EQ2, but haven't done much with it yet except buy/sell loot and craft a lil bit. you _CAN_ solo in eq2. it's just alot harder than in WoW or CoH, for example. I've solo'd the first 25 levels as a wizard playing very casually from launch until now (max 1hr a night, and seldom 2 nights in a row). It helps knowing where to level tho. 2/3's of my guild was in beta, and they hand walked me thru a lot of quests and solo spots. Any1 else on guk?
