Seeing as though we are mostly all in a PvP server, we will have some experiences with other players in the game that will make you feel great or upset... If you have a really good story of an experience that happened to you in the game whether you won or lost please post it up here, would be cool to hear some good PvP stories...

Me Conqueror. Me have big sword, but it slow and weak. Me have very weak combos and almost no way of healing self other than 20% neutral regen (that doesn't seem to work all the time). Me get stunned a lot and if snuck up on, have no way of dealing with rogues and assassins. DF, ditch the Assassin and level your tempest to 80 with me. Maybe I will do just that, and when you're not on to level with I'll level my assassin! So it'd be like me, you, and DNA, I just have to catch up is all, since my tempest is 21... But I know everything(exaggerating a bit) in the game now so I bet I could do it like tonight even... On a side note, I think I'm starting to like my assassin for PvP... Last night I was 52 grouped with a same level guildie whom was a barbarian... Well we had just gotten out of an instance and we were walking out, I see this group of 3 out there(54 necro, 54 guardian, and some other who was 53) all from the same guild(deadly intentions). I of course go immediately into stealth(just in case) even though they knew I was there and the necro sends his pets onto my group member, so I go behind the necro and sneak attack 1 shot him...was kind of cool... So after he died we start attacking the 53, even though they were both on us, mostly the barbarian(apparently they aren't to afraid of assassins yet)... We kill the 53 pretty easily and then it was time for the long battle with the guardian, I had to pop a potion and a lotus healing spell from my tree to kill him, but finally after a long time of us both hitting him and circling we kill him too... So they started a fight with all of there levels higher than us and we still won... It was a lot of fun and usually I feel terrible about killing others but they deserved it...hehe...

I hope it goes well! I think this will be my first custom map night missed in a long time, AoC is keeping me busy...hehe stupid mmos... Everyone go to scopeless!!!

Alright I'll put my 2 sense in on my classes I play... Assassin - Ummm at the moment its a little bit unbalanced imo... I can only kill one or two mobs at my level at a time, sometimes 2 even requires a potion... So higher levels I have a rough time dealing with. Assassins can only wear cloth armor and the strongest combat we have is close up, and I mean close seeing as we can only use daggers and they have the shortest range of all other weapons. We have no ways of really stunning or slowing down enemies until level 70 and apparently female assassins(one I'm playing) attack slower at the moment... The Devs are looking into that, but I've been playing for awhile now and I could of been leveling even faster We are really squishy compared to a caster because at least a caster can attack from long range, we have to get up close, and 1 or 2 hits can sometimes even take us down in PvP... We have an upside which is what I mainly like assassin type classes for and thats stealth. We have stronger stealth than anyone else in the game and we have a stealth attack, so as long as we get to someone before they find you you should be ok. I mean we can kill pretty fast, but we have to be close and watch our health... I would reroll too, but I have faith that they will balance the class better in the future and then I may enjoy it more. Tempest of Set - This is one of my alts at level 21 right now, but I love this class a lot. Its a group healing quest with spells focused on lightning to kill you're enemies. Also 2 really nice way to stun you're enemies making it easy to stun jump back and kill. This class at higher levels can take on multiple mobs with nice AoE spells and still heal themselves and others. PvP is nice with this character also. Dark Templar - Another alt at level 20 right now, and it is my first tank character ever in a mmo. It is a fun class to play because its a tank but also uses spells to drain health from the enemy and give back to yourself. I had quests where I had to take on 4 same level enemies as myself and I did it with ease. I like this character, but still a little slow to kill stuff, I just have high defense... Of all 3 I really like my tempest, but now that I've leveled my assassin to 49 so far its kind of hard to switch, maybe after I hit 80

I'll sign up for Cedar Point if enough ppl are going in the long run(so just sign me up now)... Sign me up for the preparty and also spectator for golf... And I can also lend a hand on Thursday night... I missed all of this last year and want to make it a week trip this time around so I can't wait!

Rofl thanks for the tips... Hehe I think Anonymo can hold his own, but if he does need a walk here and there I'll make sure to hand the leash over to Unclean or possibly even Voodoo, I think one of those guys are better fit for that type of a situation... And Boiler I'm sure Anonymo will play GTA 4 or whatever game you 2 play together again because he just can't stay away from you forever I mean its not like you only have to play one game... Also I haven't really played another game except one night(customs and stayed just for 2 maps or so) of CS since I've started this game so that shows how much truth there is to my words...hehe...

Just so you all know we do use GC's ventrilo server while we are playing AoC, but it may change with a good guild, will keep you updated, but a few of us are always in GC's vent while we are playing so come in and join us, its so much easier to talk than to type! Ya thats what happened with DNA... I disappeared from my ps3 after buying GTA 4 and adding him to my buddies and he wondered what happened. Now he bought AoC and started playing the game too... Boiler will miss you so much he will do the same thing

I say read into it a little bit(google), but you should be just fine, you exceed minimum requirements and should be able to run the game on medium just fine on both you're desktop and laptop... And even if you were to run on low to be able to play more fps, the graphics they say are still amazing... Although people have said this game runs well even on minimum, so I don't think you will have problems at all... Also I hope you're picking up the game because you want to and not because certain people have been nagging at you for the day about it...hehe... Although it sounds like you really want to play so I will prolly see you around... Hey Dweezil! Welcome again to the AoC subforums! I see you alot around here, I think you really want this game and would rather wander and post around here thinking about it instead of actually buying it... Am I right? Well if I am you should join us for some fun in game, its more fun that way

Unclean, myself, and a few others started a guild called the Gank Police... I actually didn't think I was up to holding a guild on my own, I knew that it wasn't going to be that big so I didn't think Gank Police would last long and of course it didn't... It ended when I talked to this other group who made some promises that they were nice people who didn't spawn camp and who did not gank... Well Unclean and I both realized they did both of those things and they weren't that mature of a guild. I wanted a guild that was going to be able to have a guild city, do end game, and help each other in the process and of course I'm sure all of you prolly will feel the same when the time calls for it. Unclean and I are in a new guild at the moment in a trial period which I honestly think is time to end, because I believe they are a pretty descent group and I believe this could be a good one for us GC members playing the game... I first want to hear Unclean's thoughts on the guild and then we will decide if we will stick with them or not. AoC has the same subscription price as WoW, its just more of a package for the price Its around $15.00 a month and can be lower if you pay 3 or 6 months ahead just like most mmos...

I think we should just post up our names on here in case somebody is playing on our server, but doesn't know any of our names, it'll be a little more organized this way... Just in case someday you decide to pick up the game and wonder "Hmmm I wonder what server my GC friends play on?"... Of course no one is on to tell you so you check here instead and low and behold GC folk are on the Stormrage server duking it out in PvP... If you're scared of PvP, it is not so bad(as long as you have friends)... A few of us already have some alt characters we can hop on to help you level up if you need it There are a lot of mean people in a PvP server but we as a team can overcome them and still have some fun in the long run... Have fun though always!

Do it Mo!!! Once I heard about this game I couldn't stop thinking about it either and I did not like WoW the little bit I played of it... Movies don't get you as involved as a game can, and you have more of a social life to this way!! You should do it Mo, take the plunge, a year from now we will be having epic battles atop our Mammoths and Rhinos, all the while guarding our guild city... I think a year from now if you picked up this game you should prolly still be playing it, they will be adding stuff all the time, so its not like things will become old... So what are you waiting for, go buy the game already Really though it sounds like you want to play just are afraid to pay a monthly fee...which is understandable, I hate them...but this game imo is totally worth it, and if you don't like it after a month its only 50 bucks you wasted because you receive one free month with the game. Its up to you, but the more we have playing from GC the more fun it will make the game(as if it isn't to begin with)...

Lol I don't know Voodoo, this guild was Unclean's call I think they will be cool, and they already have a Keep and other buildings in the player city; how cool is that!! Anyway I will be on AoC later today, I just have to sleep now, have fun playing its a pretty awesome game!

Rofl DNA! Sorry, ya I haven't turned on my PS3 since this game has come out, I'm very much attached to it... Ummm I prolly won't be on GTA 4 until I am completely bored, which may be awhile... This game isn't for everyone, but to be honest I really never liked mmos that much, but this one is just too cool... I really like the combat system, the fatalities, and the quests can be pretty amusing sometimes... I also like riding my mammoth(alone mind you ) off into the sunset and the bloody daggers I own right now. All around its a pretty amazing game, although there are things not finished(like siege warfare and the pvp experience) and some bugs yet, but it was a really great launch for a mmo and they are working on it alot right now. Sometimes its better to wait with new mmos a few months(they will fix alot of the huge bugs) but this one has too much to offer imo to not pass up. You could also wait for buddy passes and hope someone will send you one then you can try it out first. I'm already giving mine to someone local(sorry Clueless), but there are plenty of people in GC who will have one soon enough. Also I suggest checking out videos, that is really what had me so psyched for this game...

I've gotta find me that quest... ...Unless they're patching it. i'd definitely try to find it to get some easy levels if i were you. just curious how long does the trial period last when you buy the game before you have to start paying a monthly fee? 30 days free!!!

Haha, nah I wouldn't want to level that fast anyway, takes out the fun of the game, and I hope they do patch it, cuz the only ones who would usually use it are the gankers who just want to be higher than everyone so they can defeat everyone... Doing the same thing over and over like that wouldn't be that much fun for me, if I'm leveling I at least want to do different quests And by the way this AoC discussion is a hot one! Actually maybe it should have its own subtopic.. *hint *hint

I played The Witcher too, it was a great game just never finished it, too many games at once... AoC is a game where you pay 50 bucks for the game and then it is around 15 a month(unless you prepay ahead a few months then it can be cheaper). The reason why most mmos are like this is because they are always updating content and so the world is changing and the game lasts a very long time... I mean I'll prolly be playing this for a long time(I'm talking months, maybe even years) without ever really getting bored. And also the fact that you are able to play with people from around the world or friends nearby is pretty cool too... Last night, Jackiechan, Unclean, Tynamite, Kainun, and I all had a blast together... Battles with alot of enemies looked so cool! It doesn't sound like you're type of thing though if you don't want to pay money every month, but I do have a buddy pass(7 days) that I believe will let you try out the game for a bit... Let me know if you want one and I'll send one to you, then you can decide for yourself if its worth it. I think this game is worth it so far and it hasn't even been out a week ...

Ya Unclean had the same problem Jackie, he did what some ppl on the forums did and it worked, hes playing the game pretty much now... I'm off to go do some work too Jackie, so when I get back hopefully you guys leveled a little(you can play single player up until level 20). And then we can go kill some mobs and level faster!
