  1. Here's another guy I recommend. I've only read 2 of his books(Lions of Lucerne and State of the Union). I need to go out and pick up the rest of his. Here's his website Check it out. See what you guys think.
  2. That's going to be another good one jester. It comes out in Oct. Looking forward to the release of that one. I know what you mean Chief, about the main character gettting older, sucks to see that happen.
  3. Some how I'm thinking something is missing here. Think logs need to be pulled from Recrud on this. Something with the switchlink name is ringing a bell, just can't remember what for.
  4. Yes it's a great read.
  5. I believe Memorial Day is about the White House situation. No matter where you start, I think you'll be happy with all of them. After you've read a couple more let me know what you think.
  6. Yes the updated radar is much better than it's original release from a few days ago. They finally got something right.

    Fileplanet

Gamespot has the same thing. I've just always used the free download. Waited my turn in line. And downloaded the file when it was my turn. I've never waited more than half an hour. Don't see any reason to pay for it.
  8. Let me play devil's advocate here. Was this defusal done after the latest steam update? If so, it's highly possible that you would see the bomb while crouched beside the train. Simply due to the "new" crouched view. It hardly seems like you are crouching anymore.
  9. I like the color also. BTW, you can't outrun a police radio.

    I can sew!

Hmmm, guess the only thing I can say is: You'll make someone a good wife one of these days.
  11. Glad to hear you're liking it. I believe the order I listed them above is the order they came out. Not 100 percent sure tho.
  12. Thanks Batman, I'm scarred for life now. The image this conjures up is frightening. Very nice bike nofx.
  13. Chief, I'm a big Ludlum fan. And I enjoy reading this author. I've read some of Clancy's stuff, it's ok. Never was a big fan of his. You won't be disappointed if you buy one of these books.
  14. You've removed us from your favorites. Then I see no reason for you to follow up with another post. And I see no further reason to explain our rules to you. So carry on wayward son....You're done here....The credits are rollin'....You get the picture.
  15. Dweez can you help me find some setup instructions in English for the DD-WRT? Can't seem to find them. I want to give this a try.
  16. LOL. No farmer. When I read, I read pretty quick. Especially if it's something I like. And I liked this book. Wanted to see what happened.
  17. As the title says, author is Vince Flynn. He wrote the following books(which I've read all of them). Memorial Day Executive Power Seperation of Power The Third Option Transfer of Power Term Limits Consent to Kill They're all based around the same person "Mitch Rapp". Here are some excerpts from a few of his books: MEMORIAL DAY CIA intelligence has pointed to a major terrorist attack on the United States, just as the nation's capital prepares for a grand Memorial Day tribute to the veterans of World War II. Racing to Afghanistan, Mitch Rapp leads a commando raid on an al Queda stronghold in a remote border village  and defuses plans for a nuclear strike on Washington. The crisis averted, the special ops work is done. But Rapp knows, in the face of a new kind of enemy, nothing is as it seems  and it's up to him alone to avert a disaster of unimaginable proportions. Consent to Kill For years, Mitch Rapp's bold actions have saved the lives of countless Americans. He has killed with impunity, tortured to avert disaster, and shown he will do whatever it takes to prevent terrorists from fulfilling their bloody wishes. His battles for peace and freedom have made him a hero to many, and an enemy to countless more. In the tangled, duplicitous world of espionage, there are those, even among America's allies, who want to see Mitch Rapp eliminated. They have decided the time has come. Now, the powerful father of a dead terrorist demands vengeance in its simplest form  an eye for an eye, and Rapp instantly becomes the target of an international conspiracy. This time, he must use all of his vigilance and determination to save himself before he can turn his fury on those who have dared to betray him. The Third Option Fresh from retaking a battle-scarred White House after a vicious terrorist attack on the president, Mitch Rapp, the CIA's top counterterrorism operative, is sent on his final mission. His target: a well-known German industrialist who has been selling highly sensitive equipment to one of the world's most notorious sponsors of terrorism. As Rapp meticulously prepares to take the man out, he has no idea that there are forces within his own government that are plotting to use him. Thomas Stansfield, the aged director of the CIA, is dying of cancerâ€â€and he and the president have chosen as his successor Dr. Irene Kennedy, the director of the CIA's Counterterrorism Center. There are others in Washington, however, who could not imagine a more unwelcome choice, and they are willing to resort to extreme measures to prevent Kennedy from taking the reins of the world's most powerful intelligence agency. The conspirators have devised a bold plan that will damage the president and ruin Kennedy's career, allowing them to put someone they can control at the helm of the CIA. Unfortunately for them, they have made one horrible miscalculation: they have chosen Mitch Rapp as their pawn. Their worst nightmare is about to be realized. They have enraged one of the most lethal and efficient killers the CIA has ever producedâ€â€and he will stop at nothing until he finds out who set him up. From these, you get a pretty good idea of the types books these are. I've enjoyed reading them. And thought some of you guys would too.
  18. Ok, I bought this book yesterday. Just finished reading it this morning. Very intriguing read. Lot's of twists. There were a few parts that seemed slow, or maybe a better description would be the author kind of wondered off track. Then again it could just be myself not needing some of the "extra background" stuff the author put in. Overall, I'd say a very good read. And would recommend it to others.
  19. Yeah, but you need it clue..... Here's the skinny on what happened. Imagine if you will a map, setting is somewhere in the sandy desert. Think we'll call this map de_dust. You know those pesky CT's have had the upper hand for quite some time. And I'm trying to rally the troops. But, it's hard when you've been saddled with several new recruits. Who aren't sure which end of the gun goes in what direction. On top of that, I think they keep yellin' Yeehaw, Yeehaw. I guess it's some sorta new texas jihad saying. <must have missed that memo>. I encourage the troops to get into the main tunnel and choke off any resistance. Direct a couple to watch right doorway and a couple to watch towards the left. And that I would be awp'in down the left side towards bombsite A. Not quite sure where things went awry, thought I heard someone yell Conga. But then I thought I must be hearing things<makes note to get com set checked after mission>, surely noone is gonna do the conga in the heat of battle. <Man, was I ever wrong> Next thing I know they are prancing down the hall towards bombsite A in a Conga line. I can't even get a shot off for fear of sending my newly found brethren to see allah before his/her time. Last thing I remember about that mission is "Boom Headshot". And someone screaming "Lunk down, Lunk down". Goes blank after that. Now imagine this scenario playing out several rounds in a row. Discouragement and Frustration were running high. At this point I made above said statement, that I've been brought to task over. <Which was the right thing to do by a fellow gc'er> I do not deny these accusations. I stand here today to let you know my side of the story. And to ask you not to judge to harshly the actions of a man in the heat of battle with new green recruits. It was meant as motivation. Nothing else.
  20. It's cool toolbear. Im not mad about it. In the future I just ask that you figure out the proper place for posting things like this before posting.
  21. Yep, I said it. Won't deny it. In the future though, please get the rest of the story before burning me at the stake.
  22. You dumpster divin' scrubs.
  23. $150 for 8 to 9 hours worth of work is well worth the money. I pay $100 to $110 just to have the oil changed in my truck. And that's not using synthetic oil.
  24. You shouldn't have mentioned the "paste" dweez. Now he's gonna glue his butt cheeks together. It's called "Artic Silver"
