Game runs great on my PC. Athlon XP 2800+ Barton GeForce 4 TI 4400 1 GB PC 2700 DDR RAM Easy to pick up. Soloable for sure up until lvl 15, not sure about that because I am not there yet

That's odd, they havent shown any estimated dates on the private beta boards They are taking it slow and making sure everything is rigth from the start. They are a ways off still. They just increased the lvl cap to 39 yesterday. They didnt raise it to 40 because at 40 is when some classes get plate mail armor and then you can also get mounts to ride and 40 is when you are suppossed to choose your hero class. So they have a lot to implement before they increase the lvl cap again. Overall though the beta is very very solid. Typically about 1000 people on the beta server and no lag for the most part. When the server does lag it usually shuts down completely or crashes so it isnt so much lag as it is being down. A very solid PvE game so far I am just waiting to see how the PvP turns out.

and you dont need more than one char since you can change jobs at any time with no penalty and switch right back. Basically an alt on FF XI is just switching jobs.

They are sending out the Phase 2 invites in waves so within the week I will have my beta.

Web host might have gone down for a bit dunno it should work.

WoW is definately closer to Diablo 2 than to Startcraft but still not the same. Diablo 2 is more of a smaller scale hack and slash adventure/RPG whereas WoW will have servers that literally support thousands of players(usually MMO servers cap out at 3000-5000 players).

Could also use the redirect script that we have used in the past. I believe you have to have at least 1 slot on the server to use it. Could set it to 10 slots or so and then have it redirect every client(set all 10 slots to admin only use).

Yep same for me. I LOVED the sounds on the LC server. I just played for fun and did so for hours on end. I remember playing at 3-5am with redeyez and Facehole and Xero. Good times. Ill say it again. When are we doing the LC reunion tour?

So someone tell me what PUG means... IM only used to it from a MMO standpoint and am curious what everyone in an FPS considers it

They are named like this: de_dust_cz All the maps just have _cz at the end. So they wont have to replace the current maps.
