Munchkin is fun, I will also bring a couple of card games that are a blast as well - Citadel, Condotierre, Bang! - In addition I will bring Arkham Horror and Cash'n Guns (a game where you are bank robbers and get to point foam guns at people...it is a great bluffing game!).

Looks cool, CSS needed something like this. My only fear....people will focus too much on trying to get achievements instead of playing the game. 144 achievements, half of them have to be random and unhelpful. I remember doing all kinds of stupid things trying to get the L4D achievements, but at least you could get some of those in single player too.

CSS works because of it's simplicity. It will draw people like myself who usually don't play multi-player FPS games. I agree a new CSS would be great, just graphics/map updates, maybe a few new weapons and offering it cheap would be a great formula. No $50/$60 pricetag would be key. How about $30-$40? It isn't like they would have to re-invent the wheel. That is what ticked me off about L4D2, basically same game but they charge $50 for a re-hash in one year. Of course I boycotted L4D2 and still haven't bought it, probably never will. At least with CSS, it has been out a long time and deserves a little facelift.

I have verified that I have the week of the 21st off so I should be there for early bird fun!

I heard that Arkham Horror on average takes like 3 hours or more to complete. I can bring "A Touch of EbilEvil" which is by the same people who made the zombie board game we played last year...that took longer than I expected it to. It's apparently a shorter, watered down version of Arkham Horror. Yeah it can take a while but it is worth it.

Hopefully you will get the chance sometime to play it. I have played it once. It was given to me as a gift. It is a nice switch up from Risk but I then again I am not a big fan of the Risk games. I can bring board games/card games if anyone wants. I own somewhere between 50-100 games....I have lost count Anyone ever played Bang!, Citadels, Cash n' Guns or Arkham Horror? Some of my favorites my friends and I like.

Well first of all, the CRT monitor hurts a lot more when you throw it at someone than the thin screen LCDs. Secondly, we like to represent old school at FragFest....CRTs and Counterstrike go hand in hand. Finally, I imagine the banner is from one of the early frag fests . On a completely separate note, is this shaping up to be the smallest fragfest ever so far with only 15 people signed up? Last year I remember the slots filling up sooner if I recall.

I had to get a new computer earlier this year so I don't have many games loaded on it other than Counterstrike. Any ideas other than Counterstrike of what we will be playing? I know last year we did Flatout 2, are we going to do that again? Hopefully people will respond to this thread with what games they have/want to play at FF10. If there is an inexpensive game on Steam (like Flatout 2) other people may be willing to purchase it to play too.

Funny article, but seriously shootouts are fine for regular season games. I am a hockey fan and enjoy watching the 4 vs. 4 and if it goes to it, the shootout. Seriously, even though I love hockey, 65 minutes for a regular season game is enough. I also think ties are the stupid so overall I am happy with the current system. The only change I would make would be 3 points for a regulation win in the standings. The Rangers probably lost a point in more than one game earlier in the season that they should have had so I don't feel bad for them. In the playoffs, I think you keep the sudden death system with no shootout.

I didn't think that Elder Scrolls was multiplayer. I guess I should have mentioned that is one of the things we are looking for. Any other recommendations?

My brother and I were considering purchasing this game and are wondering if any of you own it and what your thoughts were. We both use to like Diablo II, according to one of Monk's posts it seems similar. Appreciate any feedback.

I just did some gc constitutional research, thought you guys would like to know the following lesser know amendments: Article IV Section 2 - With the powers invested in the Santator, should the citizens of gc decide not submit maps for voting in a timely manner, the Santator will have the power to fill the vacany of said maps with qualified and suitable maps of his choosing. Heretofore, under such extreme circumstances, said citizens of gc forgo all rights of whining, complaining, and any other dribble about said map rotations and any resulting votes thereof. Artcle VI Section 3 - The Santator is given the right to slay, blind, drug, and harass gl (and any aliases he may use) to the fullest extent of his power. It is the duty of every gc citizen to report to the Santator when gl is on the server so as to maintain a balance of power within the server nation.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I already recommended malwarebytes and I believed he tried it and it came up with nothing but I will make sure. It certainly could be a heat issue and I will pass all of this on to him and your advice is appreciated.

Ok, guys could use some help from your collection of knowledgeable and devious minds. I am trying to help my brother out, his computer has been giving him some problems over the past few months. Keep in mind, I know nothing about computers but I was hoping some of you guys might be able to provide some advice to him as to where to start. His symptoms are that his computer will just freeze temporarily or really bog down especially when applications start but it occurs when they are just running too. During videogames, even older ones his computer could easily run before, he encounters this problem and sometimes times out of the game. I know sometimes it causes him to drop out of skype calls too for example. He has run numerous virus/malware scans using different programs both in regular and safe mode and nothing has been found. As far as I am aware his computer is not crashing to blue screen or anything. He just had a new hard drive installed about a year ago too so I didn't think it would be that. The only thing I know about his specs are Vista and 4GB RAM and he has done no modifications that I know of to the computer. He is wondering if it may be a bad RAM issue? Does anyone have any advice that I could pass along to him, it would be greatly appreciated?

The echo thing is annoying on beroth but minor, still an ok map. Let's make sure though that we stay away from maps where the doors don't work...
