so ive read a bunch of online comparisons and i think the slim is definitely the way to go. seems the fat one had alot of disk read errors and the early slims had heat issues. but with the newers one, doesnt seem to be a problem now the question is, where do i find the best deal. amazon has got it for 120 with 3 dollar overnight shipping. not really sure where else to buy one from. i don't want to ebay it. so any suggestions would be awesome.

So I convinced the wife to get me a new ps2 for valentines day, and I want to do this right. Should I get the old school fat-form, the black slim, or the slim sliver? I've been trying to get a sense of which would be the best for me, but I'm not sure. That's why I've come to you. All we really play on is, Guitar Hero 1,2,3, Rockband, and Singstar. And to give you a little background, I bought my last one on craigslist and it held up for 6 months. It froze on me during RockBand, and when I tried to fix it, I broke it beyond repair. So now I want to make sure I get the best most reliable one for my needs. What do yall think? Who owns one of these things, or has owned one, that can chime in and let me knows whasup.

I wrecked my ps2 cause it wouldn't play rockband, kept freezing and whatnot. now i need a new one. But the catch is that I'm hosting a video game night at my church in 2 weeks and I said that RockBand would be there. My wife won't let me spend alot more on video games, so I'm here pleading with anyone out there with a big heart to please please please sell me a ps2 for cheap. I'll love you forever I might even throw in my firstborn

i saw the midnight show of cloverfield. while the movie was entertaining to a point, it was still disappointing. i was really expecting more from jj abrams. there were great spots of humor, some very good action sequences and some very bad ones, the plot simple, and the suspense was spotty and cheap. something that i really didn't like about the movie is that half the movie was shot at a 45 degree tilt. now, i know jj was probably going for a more realistic look, but we KNOW its a handheld! you don't have to beat us over the head with it for an hour and a half. at least hold the camera straight up and jostle it around. anyway, it was entertaining, and it was probably my own fault for hyping it up too much in my mind. so i give it 2.5/5 stars. i won't ever own this movie, but if it's ever on tv, i might not change the channel if i'm eating dinner.

i figured it out. it was my firewall. i had to turn it off, plug in the hd, then i could turn the firewall back on. thanks for the help guys

I recent got a 1tb external hd, western digital mybook home edition. i've hooked it all up but my computer won't recognize it as new hardware, and i can't find it through "my computer". any help would be greatly appreciated because im about to chuck it through my wall.

i went to see "there will be blood" a coupla nights ago. i went in with high expectations and was not disappointed. daniel day lewis, amazing. paul dano, amazing. the story, amazing. the score, amazing. 4.5/5 stars. Lewis is a shoe in for Best Actor and I think Dano for Best Supporting Actor. It's not 5/5 stars only because the movie drags in a few places. go see this movie, people.

i'm a pretty big fan of the show. it took a while for it to grow on me. there are 2 major problems with the show. 1) the laugh track...please god someone kill that thing. and 2) the actor who plays ted. he is the worst pos actor evar. everyone else on the show is amazing, but ted brings the whole thing down...ugh. if they replace the lead i would put that show in one of the best all time sitcoms.

i got a 1tb external from costco from 189.99. you can find them cheaper, but with shipping it came out to be about the same.

Yeah, I had a friend who is Army Intelligence and before he got accepted, I got a 1 hour phone interview. They already know all the info they're asking you about, they just want to make sure it matches up. Same thing with another friend of mine. He got accepted into the CIA, and i got a 2 hour talk with another company man.

i did think her character was interesting in that, at the beginning of the movie she was pretty unlikeable. but by the end, her character had not changed, just her situation, she became more likeable.

Great violence and gore. Good fight sequences. And lots of death and dismemberment. I wasn't expecting alot of out this movie since the first one was so crappy. But I think the R rating really helped drive the film. It actually would have been a fabulous film, if they had just eliminated all the human acting in it. entertaining not artsy (exactly how it should be), awesome for a avp film. 3.5/5 stars

2.5/5 stars The scare tactics in this movie were cheap. the kind that scare children and my wife but other than that not really. Ending was terrible, now I haven't read the book, but the graphic novel was amazing. And it seems prety eveident looking at the comments that the comic follows the book fairly well. Will Smith and maybe the dog are the only redeeming feature of this film. It's hard to carry an entire movie by yourself, but Smith does great with the crappy writing and story that he got. And the CGI was pretty terrible in the movie. Seems like these "zombies" were not that much better rendered than the robots in iRobot. So I would have liked to have seen real people. Like those "zombies" in 28 Days Later, they were like Carl Lewis and I almost peed my pants in the scene where they are changing the tire. Now thats how you make a scary movie!

agreed. this was a funny quirky movies, with great writing and great acting. i'd say the weakest player in the whole movie was jennifer garner. but everyone else was brillant. 4.5/5 stars

i think people hear what they want to hear. this was the same deal with the kingsmen and their song "louie louie". but you had to play the song at 33rpm instead of normal 45. there was even a federal investigation by the fbi. it's easy to hear things when they are written out for you. look up the dirty lyrics of the song and listen to the song, you can "hear" these dirty lyrics. but then look at the real lyrics and you can see how you can get confused. an even stronger example is the beatles thw white album, when everyone thought paul was dead. people love a mystery and hidden secrets. and the power of persuasion is strong.

im gonna say his "dressed to kill" is by far his best work. this guy is utterly brilliant.

one thing i heard about the transforming was that michael bay (the director) wanted all the physics to work out. he didnt want things to pop into and out of existence. thats why its so complicated.

thanks for all the advice guys, i went ahead and bought a ps2 slim black off of craigslist ($40). my wife is just going to switch karaoke games to karaoke revolution. and yeah i would love a 360 cause they're gonna have downloadable karaoke songs for like 50 cents each. and if i could find a 360 for less than $50 id snatch one up.
