What mods?

Figured. I just hope Rust turns out to be an OK game once it goes through a final release....if that ever happens. I would have to say this game was pretty boring though. I'm more into survival than building. The reason I liked DayZ (Arma 2 version) so much was the survival aspect of the game, as well as the variety of weapons and vehicles in the game. There's not as much weapons or any vehicles in the standalone version, but it's still a fun game. So does this mean you're shutting down the server?

So as you can see, starting up an alpha server was a bad idea huh? Why didn't we just stick with something solid like DayZ or another established steam game? I can tell you that what pushed me away from the server were the updates that constantly erased all my hard work. So is this server gonna go somewhere, or are we gonna let it die a quiet death?

Did someone update again without warning? I know our characters keep what we have on us, but we lose all our buildings and stashes. Could somebody please warn us before you do that? I would at least like to start the game with some building materials. It's bad enough I spent a ton of time building a metal building and now it's gone.

How did you find it? A lot of people who post on the "unban me" threads create new profiles on our GC site, but they also attach their Steam IDs or Webpage links to their new profiles. Comes in handy.

Told Marvin this the other day. He didn't believe me. All of his tweaks basically destroyed the whole point of the game, which is to start off with nothing and work your way up. Imagine if we did that with minecraft and gave everyone creative mode....oh wait ya that did happen for a bit....then look what happened. People started quitting because you ruin the basic premise of the game.

Saturday night works for me. I have reserves until 4pm Pacific time. Don't get home till 5pm.

Any mention on building size? I've heard 5x5x2, but if that's not actually a rule, I'm going to build bigger

Was there a server wipe today? I just logged on after my first hard night's work on Rust...and lo and behold my house is gone along with all my crates of stuff...yet my equipment I had on last night was still on me. SO i'm not sure if this was a wipe or a glitch/update. Could we get some clarification? I know some updates have been happening with this server, but could we at least get warning in case our stuff gets wiped so we can save what we can?

Still don't understand that though. How do you suicide to get into a base?

Speaking of unraidable bases...does that include locked doors? I found a base with a locked door, but Mustard told me that all metal doors are automatically locked to anyone who didn't build that door.

Says it's offline. I just bought the game but ironically the server is out. Is this normal?

Done yet? I just bought Rust because I was bored...but the server info says it's offline.

That is just way too complicated....just make fireproof hordes to be purchased and be done with it.

I've asked and asked and asked for fireproof hordes to be purchased for a greater cost than normal hordes and it seems Jackie is against it, even though he hasn't actually stated it.

I already said I was down if someone wanted to pay for mine...but no one replied to my post. Hmmm wonder why...

If someone buys me the game I'll play lol I'm very familiar with DayZ so I'm pretty familiar with the type of play-style that's required.

Remember that thread we had about having too many tanks? I think one circumstance was that there were 14 tank-spawn kills in a round for just 1 team. I don't think we'll run into that problem any time soon if you nerf hunter points.

Then why not do it and see what happens, rather than saying it won't make a difference? If you truly believe reducing the points hunters get will not change how often people play hunters, then just tone down their points and be done with it. Why bother arguing the fact that people play hunters because they earn high points for their skill...when you just said that it wouldn't make a difference if the points were reduced for hunters?
