  1. Good game ladies and gentleman. Of course, Yortz was rooting for Peanut in Twitch chat the whole time.
  2. If you're the same potato listed here http://gamrs.co/forums/index.php?/pages/sourcebans, you're already unbanned. In the future, read the rules that pop up on the screen when you first load in the server and in chat in green. L4D2 is a co-op game and versus is even more especially in a 10v10. Thanks for coming on here and apologizing. Welcome to GC and have fun. Ask for help if you need it.
  3. Darn. Tainted beat me to it. I was getting so excited reading about all the pain he caused I was just itching to drop the hammer. :/
  4. I didn't know about setting points and what it did. I'll do that from now on. Edit: Is it still kickable and bannable?
  5. Sorry to revive a month old thread but the player picking up the "incapped" person does get points even if the round hasn't started. I had to kick Deadlock since he had acquired 3 points from helping Killz up a few nights ago.
  6. Just appeal to a board member. That's all I will tell you. Peace.
  7. Yup, banned for team switching to start the round for the survivors. I've never seen anyone do that before on a nearly full game. It wasn't three minutes. At most it was in a minute to a minute and a half. Just because you were impatient doesn't mean you can up and switch teams to start the round FOR them. I looked at your previous bans and every ban has gone up in length until you were almost permanently banned. A week is fair. Get a board member to unban you. I'm not unless directed otherwise.
  8. Well you aren't permanently banned. Not all bans are permanent. I think that's a common misconception. I banned you for a week based on your rushing track record. The last bans were an hour or a day. You don't seem to learn so take the next week to reflect on that.
  9. So you know, the only way you can die, without committing suicide, on the ledge is if you get scatter-charged or "edge charged." You have to hold jump to fall to your death otherwise you instantly hang.
  10. I can see his angle on this issue. The game simply becomes first to tank wins, which to an extent, can be true. While on the subject of limiters, why not just nerf the AWP? Nerf it a lot or get rid of it. Do away with the mp5 if you get rid of anything. Garbage gun.
  11. I have seen Vex try to switch teams before. That's why I didn't let him move over. My prior experiences with him are going to trump the need to balance at the moment. Secondly, you came at me with an attitude because I moved him back to his original team. You kept on having the attitude that whole round even after you changed your name and rejoined. I told you to calm down many times and that you were overreacting over a kick. The fact of the matter was, you don't get to decide who gets to move over. You're not an admin and I don't need anyone telling other players who can swap and who can't. You also mentioned something about "being tired of all the bs from admins" and that is why you were sounding so frustrated and I told you to take it to the forums. You got banned for your incessant attitude throughout and then your language right before you left. "You admins need to get your heads out of your asses." The kick was valid; you had an attitude about the swap and took it out on me. That was completely uncalled for.I am open to discussion but not if you're going to join with a name like AdminAbuse, throw around the attitude and try to goad me into locking horns with you.
  12. a lot of ppl who skip have played on the server for months now. also if they ask for help someone is very likely to help cuz you want your tanks to do well That is true. by now they could have been more confident in their tank skill. The yelling and all of that isn't as bad as it used to be. I never see it since the atmosphere is a bit more relaxed. A lot of non members play during this time so that's the perfect time to mold the newer people.
  13. Oh no. Yortz...you're that member I enjoy seeing late at night and helping me out. All the best to you in your endeavors. Don't feel weird joining up if you want to for old time's sake. You're always welcome, bro.
  14. Swat has a point. People won't get better if they don't try to play the tank. I used to be scared but I flopped here and there and even got yelled after I had LONG been established in this community but I'll let that go lol. Since I'm mainly a late night player, my experience might seem vastly different from those who play during primetime. Rarely people ask who the tank was and if they do they don't berate the person. They want to know "Why didn't you do this or didn't you know about that?" If they respond, they instantly get feedback and tips on how to improve and they hopefully take what they were told to heart. Like all classes, it's going to take trial and error.
  15. We've all seen it. Why is it not punishable? Couldn't it be seen along the same lines as leaving as a dead main then re joining to take over a bot? It seems like a quasi exploit to me. I don't think it should be allowed. Just take your time, listen to your teammates, hit some stuff around if there is any and you'll be okay. I don't understand why it's scary to play tank. Just Do Itâ¢
  16. Oh, I heard about that. I will attest to the fact that she does suffer connection issues at times and I'm sure other have noticed her leaving at random times. It could be coincidental that her internet forced her to leave at the beginning of a campaign. There are times when I have the unfortunate pleasure of playing on my laptop and my ping skyrockets beyond 3000 and I go afk for a little while. So with her past history, pinning stacking because of internet issues is guesswork and assumptions. The part of the story that sounds sketchy is her not moving back to her old team. It's customary that if you DC and there is room, you go back to your old team. Why she didn't? Idk. I'd move her back to her old team, though. I find it fishy she would straight up decline.
  17. When someone says, "Don't pick me up." Don't. They might be black and white upon revive or maybe they need to use the restroom if they know death is imminent. They might also ask for no revive but points because they are in a dangerous area like an easy death charge/smoke spot. Perhaps they'd rather be back at hundred than waiting for a heal in a fast-paced game. This one should be common sense but if you know a person doesn't know how to use points or doesn't seem to understand what you telling them, whether it be verbal or in written form, don't send them points. You won't get salty because they wasted your points this way. Lastly, don't throw bile when a player is boomed. It don't work.
  18. Thank you for reminding players in game and here as well about this email and what is expected of us. I didn't sign up to the forums until a few weeks ago so I didn't know this was even a thing. Too often I load in and I see it stacked to oblivion and no one doing a single thing to even out the situation. I wish players would take more initiative and have more awareness as to when a team is clearly stacked and ask for a scramble or at least call an admin to do something. When it's 2200 to 700 going into the third map of a five map campaign, something is not right. We enjoy playing with our friends and working well together with players who know what they're doing but there needs to come a time of realization that the match is essentially a pub stomp. Be proactive.
  19. I'm going to refrain from the number of times you had to edit your request post to make it GC appropriate. I'm going to refrain from bringing up your colorful metaphor about being an admin. I'm also going to refrain from bringing up your first personal attack against me with non-GC allowed language. Lack of social skills? Right. I'm in spec mode monitoring the tank situation in the back when I hear the bridge get rammed into by a train in harvest. By the time I fly over there, I see nobody and wonder if someone managed to run in the saferoom. No one there. I look down in the chat and a member informs me of Girly rushing. I begin to inquire and ask her directly. She replies, and I'm paraphrasing, "It was a lost cause, anyway."(Your reason for rushing) I simply reply, "I see" and the next round starts and I ban her/him for a day. Everyone had ample warnings. You left people to die. You weren't a main. You didn't tell anyone you were rushing. You had a "I don't care. It's no use" attitude when you died. You and everyone were warned with server messages that appear on the screen at least 3 times about the rules. I always make it a point to put those up at the beginning of rounds so no one has an excuse that they weren't told the rules. Nothing to gain from rushing. At all. 4. Nope. I did my job. You contradicted yourself. Have no intention of losing while following the rules. She rushes ahead, doesn't care about it and all with a defeatist attitude. 5. You're here. I'm here. I'm not following why you'd say that. 6. Don't rush. Simple. I do acknowledge you. You're making that up.
