Sorry to hear about your job loss Goot. But good to hear you are hot on the job of another job. Maybe one that pays a little better, or has a better benefits package. Ever since I was 16, I discovered how crappy work places can be. I was fired from TGI Fridays, where I was a busser, for being sick. Funny thing was, I got a job working for better management, making more, and with better hours. For current situations, I have someone at my current job who is bad mouthing me by saying I am lazy, which couldn't be further from the truth. This is a person who switched into a position they were not qualified for (and has shown that everyday since they got it) by threating to sue for discrimmination. Instead of checking her claim out, they just believe her. Needless to say I am trying to get away from that. You've got a good degree, that carries a lot of potention man. I know you will come out better in the end of this. Goot luck to you!

I still would like to see the judge get some responses back as to his claim that he could not find anything the girls had done wrong other than being out later than HE thought they should have been. Yet, he still awards victory to the woman. Has the government gotten that far into playing mommy and daddy? As for that lady and her hate mail she is receiving? Boo-freakin-hoo. Maybe she would like them to deliver some free milk to go with her free cookies. That way she could have a snack while she reads her letters. You know, I personally liked hearing about this, and I am glad the girls talked to the newspaper. These people had the right to tell their story too. They had to file a restraining order? Wow, doesn't help your case any when you are charged with making harassing phone calls to 17 year old girls! "The gloves are off"? Well, then they shouldn't complain about getting hate mail.

When you say the light was on, do you mean the low coolant light? Or check engine light? Or one of the other 40 bazillion lights that newer cars have?

Wow. That I do not know. Best bet would be to go to your local library and check out the Haynes book for your car model. They completely tear down and rebuild the particular model. The book comes in handy for the strangest things. I would suggest anyone who wants to do work on their own cars to invest in one or get it from the library.

I have been meaning to send one out! This brought a tear to my eye, and that doesn't really happen too often. ( I had to laugh at my fiancee at the end of the movie My Dog Skip) She will receive something special from the two of us sometime in the near, near future! If this guy seriously wants to argue this point to this extent, why doesn't he form his own messageboard dedicated to this topic? The rules are set by the ones who have put their precious coinage into the servers that you chose to play on. Respect the them. Respect the rules. Obviously a lot of people do as per the full server everyday. If they chose to make everyone play by walking backwards only, they have the right to do that. And if they wanted to ban you for using the forward key, they could. Would people play on that server? Probably not. But obviously the no profanity rule is working. End of story. Personally, I believe people that can't take the time to understand the rules that pop up when you join the server should be banned on the spot. But I am one of those instant satisfaction type of people. I had to use a lot of self restraint in the days that I had admin on Mmmm servers. Bob_Lee was my hero! (Miss ya bud!) Follow the rules or show yourself the exit. Don't curse or don't play here. Simple as that.

This is my opinion and I am sorry if you disagree with me. But... This story is absolutly ridiculous! Two teenagers do something nice and thoughtful, and they are punished. What kind of messed up values do people carry these days? They chose to skip a dance where there might be "cursing and drinking" to do something they figured as being nice for their neighbors. They could have gone to the dance, gone to the party afterwards, drank, came to their neighbors house and egged it... Maybe that would have been a better way. Heck, if you are going to get sued over it, you might as well have some serious fun with it, right? I am sure there was some way for that woman to look out and see 2 girls standing on her front porch. If not, maybe she should invest in a peep hole so that she doesn't have a "heart attack" every time someone knocks on her door. As to the 2nd little paragraph - Thought they were neighbors she had tangled with in the past? Oh man, that killed me. If you have to worry about neighbors coming over at 10:30 p.m. enough to think you are having a heart attack, you have some serious problems. Maybe she needs to live in a safehouse, or invest in her own private island. As for that judge... "The judge said that he didn't think the girls acted maliciously but that it was pretty late at night for them to be out." Is 10:30 past that towns curfew? I don't know. I might have to look into it. But, is the judge these girls parents? I do not believe so. They are also 17 and 18. If they would have gone to that dance, I would bet they would have been out a lot later than 10:30. This judge does not deserve to be deciding cases. He contradicts himself when he basically says the girls did nothing wrong, yet awards money to the women. Last I heard Ford SVT department dropped the lightning for '05, in order to focus more attention on the upcoming Cobra model. *edit* Here is a site with the story about the Lightning. The companny is Sam's Club, member of the Wal-Mart Corp. I called the state labor office and they said they did not know of any law restricting this situation. But, that if she worked the same number of hours as someone who did have benefits, then it could qualify as discrimmination. I can receive a free 30 minute consultation with an attorney through my works benefits. So we will be contacting someone and finding out what kind of action can be taken. Thanks for the advice guys!
