  1. For the record, I think this would be a great way to practice throwing rocks
  2. I think this is a cool idea. A tank mutation in 10v10 sounds interesting to me lol

  4. "Getting Ahead?" As in that cool achievement? Oh boy :3
  5. Nah chill, Liv! Those last 2 words (af) are a little too hardcore for the servers. It could get me in trouble. Anyways, my steam name is sexy enough already!

  7. Sure, the members here deserve their fun playing custom maps. If a 3rd server does end up existing, then a custom map only set-up sounds like a good idea. I think the 2nd server remaining with the normal maps is fine as it is. If for some reason the 1st server crashes/lags/gets disabled, then you have the 2nd server available for new players and regular members who feel like playing a normal map.
  8. Yes, I agree with your suggestion. Honestly, I've been enjoying games now with the 7 point hunter nerf. However, if there are any plans about increasing the hunter's points, then 8-9 points for the maximum high pounce seems reasonable. This is similar to blinding 5 survivors. Both of these attacks can be challenging in their own way. Maybe that will stop their complaining. I still think anything above 9 points for the maximum high pounce is a little too much Many players booming? Nah, that's a good thing! More blinded survivors means better opportunities for your infected teammates to attack them. Trust me, it isn't impossible to kill the infected if you are blinded (frequently). It can be more challenging to kill them with blinded vision, but there are ways to compensate for that. 1. If you're blinded, you could spray and hold that trigger so you can kill the zombies around you as quick as possible. If that doesn't work, and your health is depleting torwards yellow/red, then 2. If you're blinded and hurting, you could buy pills/adrenaline so you can move away from the horde quickly with better health and faster speed. If there are too many zombies overwhelming you, then 3. If you're blinded and overwhelmed with the horde, you can buy a Molotov and its flame will kill all those zombies that were attacking you instantly. I'm beginning to think that maybe the hunter lovers' problem with the update isn't with the hunter nerf, I think it might be because buying a tank is going to take longer than it did before. Well, ever since the nerf was added, games generally have been more enjoyable to play in. Longer rounds mean more time for players to play survivors and have them learn from experiencing the other team's attacks, AND they also mean more time for infected players to use teamwork and figure out how to attack the other team without relying on points too much to get tanks. You hunter lovers might dislike this nerf for now, but I believe that you will learn to love it later on in the long-term.
  9. Ah, I get it. That will be one way to make it easier for you to get the Untouchable achievement. Lol I'm on to you!
  10. I remember there was this one person who got a tank before the survivors barely made it out of the safe room.... Yikes
  11. Um, tanks being bought early in a round because of early sky diver achievements were more annoying than those boomers you're referring to. At least rounds are likely going to be longer now. It usually takes longer to get a tank if you're trying to boom the survivors. If half of the infected team is booming and blinding the team 24/7 like you say there is, then it's going to be a little tougher to get your tank since the amount of survivors getting blinded will divide the point distribution among those boomer players. It gets more competitive to blind the survivors when you have other boomer teammates trying to blind them too. You just need to be patient when it's your turn to boom them. Besides, I don't see why blinding the survivors 24/7 is a bad thing. I usually hear/see players say that they want their teammates to boom the other team more. A survivor team that is mostly blinded makes it easier for your infected team to ambush and attack them. Isn't that what many players ask for when they play infected? Blinding the survivors makes your teammate's' jobs more easier to hurt them. Boomers might arguably be the fastest/easiest way to get a tank as of right now, but you can't really compare how annoying this is compared to the many Sky Diver achievements before the hunter nerf. I think it takes longer to get tank as a boomer, which is good because this prevents short/boring rounds from occurring for players that actually do want to get the chance to play as survivors. I say it's a good thing that apparently less players are using hunters. This gives them more opportunities to use the boomer, blind the survivors, and have your teammates do their damage to the biled ones. I see survivors being blinded 24/7 as an improvement over the less recent days when they died by tanks quickly over a few high pounces. Trust me, boomers now are not nearly annoying as hunters were before the nerf. The hunter nerf has been available for barely a week now. Give it a month. Then you can judge how effective it has been by that time.
  12. I apologize for being cruel to your team as the scripted tank. I could have just refused to heal at all. That way when I die, you guys could have enjoyed your survivor round a little longer. I've been in your position many times before. It's better to die in a round gradually rather than instantly. I guess I was more brutal to your team as a tank because of how poorly I performed in my survivor round. I was disappointed in myself and took it out on your team. Anyways, my bad for the "stacked" game :/
  13. I know I'm late on this, but please leave the boomers alone. There is nothing wrong with them. If there are going to be any changes, then the least amount of points for booming a survivor can be 1.5 and NOT 0.5. I don't get how 1.79 points for each blinded survivor is a problem though. There is nothing wrong with the boomer's point system. There is no need for longer smoker tongues. You're likely going to see less progress by the survivors if smokers are able to pull from halfway across the map. An example would be that area with the open field that is covered in water, and has a ship in the middle of it on the second chapter of the Sacrifice. It would be a little ridiculous to see survivors in the parking lot, who have already crossed that slope, get pulled back down into the field by smokers that are located all the way next to that ship. I doubt the survivors are going to make little progress at that section of the map because of that buffed tongue range. That's if they even make it that far. Allowing smokers to move while choking a survivors will just make it worse. You like it when your survivor team moves forward, but how are they going to move forward when you have the abused tactic of smokers pulling survivors while moving backwards? We're better off without those features. However, it will be nice for players that use smokers to get more points for dragging survivors. Out of all the special infected classes, I think the point system for the smoker is the weakest/lowest. Heck, I've heard some members here claim that the smoker is the "joke class." I don't know, but I believe more smoker players will benefit from a buff in points. Zero is right about the hunter nerf. It's likely going to affect the motivation of players, who are masters of the hunter, for the better. I'm getting this vibe that a couple of hunter supporters that posted here miss how competitive games were before hunters were nerfed. Wouldn't you like the competition now that the nerf has already been added? Now you actually have to work a little more to get the tank. Now it's going to be more of a challenge to kill the survivors late into the chapter. Now there will likely be less gaps of the scores; aka "Stacked Games;" since you'll no longer have a tank in 1 team wipe the survivors because of the early Sky Diver achievement, while the other team didn't have that early achievement and thus no early wipes on the first team. Besides, how many points do you get for a 25 damage pounce? I want to say like about 10 points. If you land those pounces 3 time and get Sky Diver, you're going to get approximately 35 points. LESS if you landed 20-24 damage pounces, but it's not like the amount is THAT bad or anything. You just need like 15-20 more for a tank. Just land a couple of more high pounces and you'll be fine. If this doesn't work out for you, then you can use other infected classes like I said in my previous long post. If anything, hunter supporters could be more supportive with the nerf. Instead of being bored with games because of the early Sky Diver with the usual early tank wipe, leave the game later, and claim that there is no competition; you're actually going to HAVE more of that competition because it's going to take more of an effort to kill the survivors. Games are more likely going to be close. The nerf lets you play more of your hunter to work for that tank. If you're worried about survivors making it to the safe room so easily and so worried about them killing bought tanks with ease late into the round, then maybe biles could be raised up to 15 points. That way, players that buy the bile will lose that heal should they get incapped. Getting blinded by biles as a tank isn't the end of the world, but this increase in price will at least give more tank players more of a relief from them. Overall, the hunter nerf won't be too much of a trouble. I promise you guys it won't
  14. well, i rarely see dixie got incapped. she is the queen of untouchable. before you said this, u should buy laser first. Lol but I can't do that when I'm playing as infected XD
  15. It's times like this where I appreciate the points you get from using the boomer. It probably has the fairest and most balanced point system out of all the special infected classes. It doesn't take a boomer player 3.5 successful spawns to get a tank like the hunter usually did. I like to think that maybe the hunter itself will end up making games even better. Besides, you don't need to master the hunter in order to get tank. Don't feel bad or useless if you aren't a hunter expert. I'm certainly not. On the bright side, Valve invented other special infected you can use as alternatives, such as the boomer. I'm not exactly sure how many successful booms or spawns it takes for an infected player to get a tank, but I'm going to guess it takes like 5/6 boomer spawns with at least 4 successful hits each. That seems pretty reasonable to me at least. There is also the neat horde attacks that you get credit for after your successful boom(s). Even if you do get a Dixie boom, it will still add up to Stomach Acid whether you're interested in it or not. Plus there is also the chance that you could farm up points from having a horde attack your 1 target that is boomed. The challenging part about playing the boomer is blinding the survivors before they get the chance to kill you. You need to be aware of the fact that there are always going to be some survivors that are going to look up at the sky for you. I say that the trick to puking on multiple survivors successfully is not to simply launch yourself at them, but to out-smart them. Make sure they don't see you coming at all no matter how you use the boomer. Any blinded survivor is better than nothing. It's important for players to at least try to boom. The chances of landing effective ambush attacks increase the more often you blind the survivors. Infected rounds can be challenging when there are no survivors getting boomed, and you're forced to attack them where they can see you coming with perfect vision. If you're struggling with booming, then you can also rocket charge. Chargers have the most health out of the all the special infected, so it's going to take more effort for the survivors to kill you before you get the chance to do damage on them. You'd have to be extremely unlucky enough to be "skeeted" in mid-air if that happens, but the chances of that happening is rare. You'd be amazed to see how much of a difference a successful random rocket charge could make in a chapter where the survivors are located at an open area. It can potentially help your team out big time. I just came out of a VIP game in Dark Carnival chapter 4, the Barns, where the survivors have to cross the rooftop before reaching that horse event. My infected team rocket charged multiple survivors, which ended up killing about 4 unfortunate ones total after flying off the rooftop. There was also a scripted tank that caused 8/10 survivors to retreat down into that huge room below. 2 newer players remained on the rooftop. I remember Max pouncing one of the survivors on top of the rooftop to low health. I knew that one of the survivors was going to shoot through the rooftop to kill him, so I spawned in as a jockey, waited for his death, and rode him forward further until the survivors were unable to shoot through. I think Bambi ended up pouncing him to death. I'm not sure what happened to the other survivor, but I think he ended up getting smoked and pounced to death up top trying to save the other guy. It was nice teamwork In this same game, I remember watching a smoker pull the VIP on top of the part of the rooftop where there is no railing. At first I hesitated to steal dark wolf's smoke with my jockey, but I ended up doing it. I rode that VIP from that section of the rooftop, to the top of the railing, and down to the ground below so that he won't immediately be in that amination where he hangs on to the ledge. This all happened before the rest of the team saved the VIP. This teamwork made them backtrack all the way down the rooftop to make a huge circle, and managed to buy us time to set up future attacks and ambushes. In the end, our team finished off the survivors with tanks after we gradually weakened them with our attacks. Keep in mind that what caused the demise of the survivors wasn't due to having multiple members in my infected team play hunter exclusively for the high damage pounces. It took teamwork among our infected team that played different special infected classes to finish them off. The point I'm trying to make from my recent experience is that you don't need to be a hunter expert to get tanks, or to finish off the survivors. Hell, we didn't even buy tanks until there were like 5 survivors left that were red in health. I have enough faith in my teams' potential that the round would've ended anyways without buying tanks. Using teamwork and playing as other special infected is likely going to help your chances of killing or at least do effective damage on the survivor team. If you are a hunter expert, then props to you! That skill is a positive bonus for you to have Anyways, I doubt many of you reading this need to be told about these strategies when playing as the infected. This post is just a friendly reminder. I welcome the hunter nerf in the servers. Hopefully, we end up having even better games with this feature implemented, and I'm looking forward to seeing this feature live up to its potential in the future
  16. No they are not, the first chapter you can side step the hunters, for the second it's kinda hard not to get pounced since you got to climb up the ladder and as for the 3rd chapter, again, you can side step the hunters but that only works if you look up which sadly a lot of people don't do. Granted there will be times where you are pinned by failed hunter or a charger or a smoker and can't help getting pounced so just hope your team can get the other hunters before they get you.The only reason I see to Nerf the hunter is that people won't feel that guilty getting pounced repeatedly. That's why I said, "Almost." But yeah, you're not wrong though, master.
  17. Lol I actually agree with you. Landing high pounces are cool and all, but it took a couple of years to slowly realize how obnoxious it is to farm that many points so quickly. The first 3 chapters of Dead Air are almost unplayable because hunters usually succeed there easily. Anyways, my opinion doesn't matter. I'm interested in what the community thinks about this idea. Good idea, Zero! It has potential
  18. Lol I doubt you were being serious, but I was just starting to think about this interesting idea of yours. What would happen if there was actually a scramble at the beginning of each chapter? I mean think about how crazy this could be. Games would be unpredictable if this actually happened XD
  19. Yes, Johnny. I am in tears ....of joy But yeah, good luck with whatever you're dealing with in your life. By the way, Dixie's cookies are awesome! Quit telling us fibs :/
  20. I didn't know they're playing Hard Rain.
  21. But I saw Peanut get the Getting Ahead achievement yesterday! He told me he got the 10 headshots without using the sights. I remember being so impressed and proud of him! Yea, it turns out he lied to me about not using that -_-
  22. Everyone gets incapped eventually. I send you points when you get incapped. It doesn't take me that long. Besides, I'd rather ask for points immediately after I get incapped instead of just asking for points at the last second before I die or even waiting until after I die to ask. To be honest, typing isn't that much of a problem as you think it is. It really doesn't bother me that much.
  23. No, thanks. I just have to type the command out faster without messing up. I appreciate your suggestion, though
