hmmm. ive done servers like this before at freinds houses and such. I know it wasnt just a LAN because we had other random people connecting to it like a regular server. let me know if i have no idea what im talkin about. what I am hoping isfor advice on servers(if this doesnt work out). Fatty I know you do servers form Game Daemons. I can get one for 10 man(private, used only for scrim and matchplay) for 50/month from them, you posted your resell rpice at 57/month. What are the specs of your server and why would i go through you instead of just straight through them? jane | gfe

Its actually a computer that is being wiped clean by one of my teammember's parents, then well put it in our house to use as a server. I was wondering if you could help me figure out 1.6 so as to create a dedicated server... jane | gfe

um yeah jiffy, you can have that faith that Fatty has. All you have to do is believe that God is real and has a calling on your life and choose to follow Him! It not just for comfort, its for purpose too. god has given me so much more life than i ever had before knowing Him. Dont worry bout sitting on the sidelines of some "religion". Go out there and follow Christ! Its a relationship, not a religion. Though religion has its purposes(comfort and stability) relationships are what its all about. God is love and Love is Good! lol tweens is Tolkien talk. Hobbits were in their "tweens" until the coming of age at around 30. Im a nerd but im sure there is a lot of people out there whop love LOTR just as much as me... anywho, lol i always thought of "pwn/pwned" as a a different animal than "own/owned" like someone else said i think of it as "pawned". As in "you were just pawned by playaa" or "playaa just pwawned joo". Not that it dont mean basically the same thing. To be "pwned" is to be played like the useless peice of nub that you are. Hey all. I am getting a server for my team(gfe) soon(next two weeks) and would like some advice on how to get it running and how to customize it. Will it be like running a lan in 1.5 or harder? I could get it going in 1.5 but now whenever my team and I want to run a lan, we cant figure out how to set one up.... maybe im still a nub. I hoep you all reply with much wisdom and knowledge becasue this server will nto take away from my play time on FightClub and tropolis but improve our team. hopefully you'll let me know soon. jane | gfe

most often one of my roomates is either playing CS with me or not on his comp. The other is just always online but not nessisarily doing anything that would disrupt ping(aka serfing net and such) I will call Comcast Cable soon. We're knida sick of this ping and want it stopped. jane | gfe

thanks guys. I tryed all that and still get bad ping randomly. I guess it could be the cable because it is shared with two other roommateas and soon a server ! well i guess if thats all there is fomr you guys thanks for the help. no its not wireless, i got a linksys router, dumb radio shack modem(current comcast install) and a good card (runs through my graphics card... is that bad?). Thanks for the suggestions.

When I first found tropolis, I was probably playing under "Mark_is_noob" becasue i was. Then it changed to Jaed(clan NBAB-neverbutteralwaysbacon) which had been ny gaming name on descent and Dark forces 2 and other such early games. I hadnt played a online game in about 4 years until I stumbled across CS. Now you all know me as jane | gfe(girls are freakin evil). Jane is a girls name, so is Mary(no its not a referance to that drug) and we liked the fake irony of playing with girls names under a clan name of gfe. lol not very cool but i hope its what you wanted LH jane | gfe
