  7. when i say the buddhits religion makes man god, i simply mean that we are allowed to make our own descisions and make what ever FEELS right to be right. In effect you are your own judge, which makes you to be a god, of sorts. I dont think this thought process is very tolerant because it ends up taking bits and peices of every religion and saying go ahead do it your own way. But it forgets the fact that if we do it our own way, noone will end up doing things that are right. It makes for a very fluid and evassive religon that spurns the truth and the right. It rejects that thought of purity in one way. Basically, if you seem to be intolerant, you are shunned by the Buddhist thought(aka also the PC of this age), since all things are equal/right. WT i dont know if you directed this: at me or not but i dont think what i said was judging. I appoligize if it seemed so, i didnt mean it in such a way. Was jsut wondering what was going on.... jane
  8. you seem to be pushing towards this Buddhist wolrdview more and more WT. Why is that? Or am I mistaken? Ive, as you posted in the religions thread you believe in a god, why do you seem to be moving towards a worldview that makes man a god? I may be inferring/ assuming to much here, so let me know if I've overstepped my bounds....
  9. thats very interesting Watch, honsestly Ive had very similar experiances. Those quesitons we ask ourselves arent always just asked by our own mind. Sometimes, God's Holy Spirit will pry into our conscience and ask us things. We'll not always know it, but alot of times, the harder questions and the ones that we wish we didnt acknoledge are actually from God. You could explain it all away. But I think these "signs" are some of the things that God does to show us we arent completely mistaken. Very interesting. Personally Id jsut pray about that situation and ask God if He was trying to tell me something. Since you may believe in a God, why dont you try it? It may bring about more answers than you expect. Sometimes, God is more mysterious, and others, He comes right out and shouts in our faces . Just my two cents, thought you might like to hear back form me. BTW if ive seemed at all less active around here, its because Ive really gotten into my BF1942 clan and also finally got a job! So, I try to post as often as possible, though I may go as much as a week inbetween posts.....also Fatty kinda scared me about my post spamming, so ive been watching my post count to make sure im not posting too much jane

  14. someday youll finish pointing out the issues with a man-made religion and find that the faith behind the religion is not man-made. Of course there is no physical proof of God's existance. Its like saying the milk has physical proof inside of it that the cow exists,...You can infer up the wazoo, but you know in the end the only way to prove that the cow made the milk is to watch it happen again and to know that it is the only way it could have happened. ^^^^^ bad analogy^^^^^^ anywho, live goes on everyday with more signs of God's prescence and God's touch. Whether you choose to acknowldge those signs is up to you. jane
  15. heyman, whatever works for you works for you..... meh, in the end we'll find out whos Right and whos Wrong. There is truth because we cant define truth unles we use some standard that we go on from the get go. If there is a standard we have to have some reason for that standard in the first place. If there is a reason it has to be from some source. Because we know that something cant come from nothing....If there is a source, we have to know that the source is right, the source is true, because it made it that way. If that source is true and right, then we have to assume since it impossed on us this truth/ one way, that it is better than us. If that source is better than us, why would we not follow/ worship it? If we follow it or worship it, would we not be calling it a god? If it is a god then who are we to question it? i think that this(as in the truth/ relgion/ one way faith) whole arguement is full of holes and needs to be rethought. It is funny to me that it always falls on Christians to defend their position when the fact of the matter remains that we have a position set, we know what we believe and the rest of the world is the open minded people who dont ahve a clue what they believe but still know that they are right and we are wrong. Interesting that politcal correctness is always with the new thought. Always goes where people want it to.....always goes where people feel comfortable. i appoligize if this post is unorganized or offensive, i am a bit heated and kinda sick so dont take it all too nastily(word?). jane
  16. i think that the protestant and catholic belief systems circle around the same book. JWs have modified the bible and no longer use the same one as the "chrisitan" church. Mormons only use the King James version, and use their other scripture more than the bible Order of importance according to Mormons: 1: Peal of Great Price(written by Young) 2: Articles of Faith(also by young) 3: Doctrine and Covenants(written mostly by Young and Smith, though every head leader of their church writes more....) 4 Book of Mormon(translated from golden tablets by Smith) 5 Bible("so far as its correctly translated"-actual statement from Doctrine and Covenants) 7th Day adventists are cooky and dont use the same translation(i believe) as the Christian church ^^^^^^^^cults^^^^^^^^ Pentacostal, baptist, lutheren, Vineyard, Assemblies of God, Church of God, Eastern Orthadox, and too many more , use the bible. These are just denominations of the same church. Yes there are differences. Some hold to tradition more than others. Some say its wrong to speak in tounges, others say its just fine, others say you have to. There are extremist groups in every organized anything.... Doesnt mean in the core they dont believe the same thing. These last few lsitings beleive Jesus is the the living Son of God, who died and rose again after bearing the weight of all the sins of the world. They believe He is coming back and will judge the world according to this truth. They believe different things about faith and works, but all believe and teach that God is, and was, and will be the only thing that saves us. Praise God that he has instilled in all the people of this world that different aspect of himself that makes us different, yet so similar! We fight because we all see things differently and all sin. But in the end, we will all bow down and praise His name, because of who He Is! It wont matter then who knows why He does some of the thing He does, and why we do some of the things we do. 1 John 4:19: We love because He first loved us Amen jane
