  5. #1 has been discussed before by the admisn, the final decision has always been that for each stack it would "prevent" it would create another. randomizing the teams wouldn't gain us anything, it would only take away players ability to try to manually unstack teams. We'd rather rely on admins and players to police themselves on this, POLITELY mind you No matter how many times someone brings this up as a "good idea" it will always be declined for the above reason. #2 I believe there's already a separate discussion about this, leave it in that topic #3 already being done, but how many possible variations can you think of? I know I can get pretty creative. In the end we can't anticipate every variation and admins have to catch these as they occur, which shouldn't be very often. #4 the map rotation is reviewed and changed periodically, I don't know exactly when the last time it changed, Mookie could better answer that one. #5 doesn't belong here.

  15. Zero is correct, the admins should be stepping in and asking players to even things out, or doing it for them if they won't. That said, nothing is perfect, some stacks will happen. But it shouldn't be continuous like that. Just don't get carried away when a team wins 3 rounds, usually the team that wins round 1 wins the next 2 because the other has to build up money. Too often I see people complaining about a stack in the 4th round. Just having everyone autoassign won't do anything either. The only solution is for players to pay attention to things and try to even the teams out. Admins can enforce it but it may take a round or 2

  17. The fact is, custom maps are part of what defines our server. If we wanted to be like the hundreds of other servers out there then we'd run the same few standard maps over and over, but we aren't and we don't want to be. Ever since the early days of Project Mayhem and our other servers, custom maps were part of what GC is and that is still true today. Also not everyone is going to like all of the same maps. Some of the maps that you hate are ones others love. I know I really liked playing de_eminence, I thought it played well once people got used to it and thought it had a lot of potential, but some absolutely hated it. There are other maps as well. The fact is, we can't please everyone.
  18. I've posted this on mod sites, I thought I'd throw it up here too if anyone was interested. I've released v 1.0 of my mod. Basically it tracks the amount of reputation you gain and lose with factions during a session. Useful if you're grinding for rep and what to see what you gained.   19. You used textures that didn't come with the SDK. Don't forget that any custom maps, any materials, resources, sounds and whatnot that go with custom maps you had will show up in Hammer and be useable on your maps. There's nothing special you do to use them, and there's no specifial indicator in Hammer that you are using them. That's why they don't show up when someone else loads your map. one other note, the SDK doesn't give you any new materials or anything, it just is the tools to make maps, mods, models and such. All of the materials come from your CSS directory

  23. I've noticed a couple people posting about their maps in the Chat forums when they should be posting here, that's what this forum is for. Once I'm ready to reveal my latest Map project I"ll post up some info here, all I will say now is that it's a hostie map inspired by a 1.6 map. However it may be a little while since I"m working on a WoW addon right now.
