May also want to check for new chipset drivers. I built a puter for my wife a while ago and it would do some freaky random stuff till I updated the chipset drivers and then all was fine. Never had the need to reboot 3 times to become stable though...just the random restarts & lockups.

Could be a number of things. One is that you happen to be on the edge of the DSL distance. I think it's like 4 miles from the central office. A friend at work had DSL at the distance and had very sporatic connections. It could be an issue of overselling. There could be something on your line from pre-DSL causing issues. When I had DSL they had to remove a signal booster from my line that was used because there wasn't an office close enough so for voice they boosted the signal. The booster was at the street.

Now I understand why my wife won't let me swear around my daughter...LOL

Yes that is me...it's from about 8 or 10 years ago tho...I'm only a little kid at heart. How do you think I ended up in mulletard? Funny thing is I never realized what a mullet was till I joined up with old Titmouse & crew. Anyway, the mullet is all grown out now to just very long. Also, that isn't a harley I couldn't afford one at 18 so I got that bike instead. Course I don't regret it at all!!!
