Brett Favre still has game. He isn't the player he was 5 years ago, but he still threw for over 4000 yards and 30 touchdowns last year. I don't see anything on espn.com, nfl.com, or packers.com, so where is this information that Favre is supposed to retire? He has talked about retirement in the past, but so far (to my knowledge), nothing has been mentioned about him leaving this year. Man I hope he stays another year.

Packers Name Thompson General Manager For those of you that live outside of Wisconsin and haven't heard, Mike Sherman has been stripped of his general manager title and the Seahawks assistant VP has been hired to that position. This is totally awesome. The Packers draft picks under Sherman (with the exception of Barnett and Walker) have been awful. So have the free agents (most notable example - Joe Johnson - biggest bust EVER - something like 30 million dollars over 6 years for almost no production and was cut after 2 seasons I think). Sherman's coaching hasn't been bad (I don't think his job is in danger, but the new GM has the power to fire him), but the coaching of the offensive and defensive coordinators hasn't been great. I hope/expect to see defensive coordinator Bob Slowik to be fired. The Packers defense has been much worse this year than last with almost the same personnel with the defensive coordinator being the main difference. Ted Thompsonson has an excellent record as a talent scout and I think will make an excellent general manager. I am really excited about this change, as the dual Coach/GM combo was too much for Sherman to handle, and I expect to see big changes this year.

I was on when that happened, although I thankfully never saw the spray. I am, though, glad to see such a negative reaction to this on our servers.

I saw the last quarter of that game...wow. Those balls were perfectly thrown and his recievers made some amazing catches. I don't even remember an incompletion by Manning in the 4th quarter. Manning is an amazing athelete, but his recievers should take a big part of the credit for this record...their offense is pretty unstoppable (especially on astroturf, lol).

I heard about this...very sad He was the best defensive lineman ever, and propeled the Packers to the Superbowl in 96' (when they had both the #1 ranked offense and defense!). It's too bad we will never see him make a speech for his HOF induction...

if the case it metal, make sure there isn't anything touching the case or the door after it is shut; the same thing happened to me once - this was causing something to short out.
