You can also use RAID as simply extra IDE inputs. On my last mobo I had it and used it to keep my DVD and DVD R/W drives on separate channels, it's supposed to be more efficient for burning, can burn at faster speeds without problems. I didnt realize the AMD64 was holding its value more than past chips, thats real close to what I paid for mine 3 months ago. The ZipZoomFly price seems to be the way to go.

I do custom paint work, primarily on Harley Davidson's, and i've been thinkin about tryin some airbrush ideas i have on something like a computer case, It also depends on how busy this season is because I do it in my off time, i'm a finish carpenter by trade, so I can only handle so much paint work. But if you guys think it's a cool idea, I could try and MAKE time for it, and give it away as a prize at Fragfest. Let me know what you think, if you like the idea, some case model ideas would be good, I use basic stuff so I dont know what "cool" cases the kiddies are into these days. I was thinking like, skulls with some flames or something like that. Thanks!

I've really enjoy playin with Newbee5 (even though him and Toka together add up to about 75% of my deaths), I think hes a pretty fair admin, as are most, everybody gets aggrevated, theyre out there playin, winnin and losin with the rest of us, and also having to babysit (for lack of a better term), i'm sure they all make some calls they regret. But this server is proof that the system works very well overall. I've played with you as well hangover, you seem pretty cool, and i hope to see you out there again.

Thats funny, also not far from the truth. The reason I have to wait and not download it is because when i got the ATI deal, I had no idea what STEAM was, and the idea of downloading and playing MY game through Valve made me feel like I was under big brothers heavy thumb. Well, needless to say that was stupid, now that I understand it all, I wish I would have got it STEAM. But, since I ordered the CD and payed S&H, now i'm commited. Well, gotta cut this short and grab my huntin gear!

I'm a little unsure about Fragfest, like I said before, i'm new to online multiplay, but it's the most fun i've EVER had gaming and I owe most of that to this community. I've never seen a lan party operate, coupled with the fact that i stink and people could actually laugh at me to my face, it's a bit intimidating. But since I live in Kent,less than a 1/2 hr away, I would be glad to offer service as staff if it's needed, just to help out and see how it all works, and meet some of the people that kill me on a regular basis. If you don't need staff help, of course my earlier agreement with Fatty to pass out flyers at KSU still stands. Thanks, keep up the awesome work!

Is there an offline mode to CS:S? Under properties it says ready next to offline mode, but i can't see a way to access it. I heard someone mention something about a practice type thing and I wanted to check it out, those who have played with me will understand

I know everyone is treating today as Christmas in November, but i'm getting mine through ATI free, so i hafta wait for US Snail Are the graphics better than CS: Source? It's so hard to tell from screenshots. I've heard its gonna blow Doom 3 away, which I thought graphically at least was awesome. CS:Source is pretty awesome, but my no means mindblowing. Far Cry is every bit as good if not better looks wise. I'm hopin HL2 is better than all!! Have fun u lucky ducks.

Also, if you have tried it, i would be interested in seeing the numbers you run, if you don't mind sharin.

When i first logged on about 5:00, it was about 3 minutes before it logged on, but since then its been fine. CS:S played normal. It did say something about unlocking game files or something, but i did'nt get HL2 yet(waitin for mail ), are there any cs:s files that get unlocked since HL2 release?

He was nicely and not so nicely asked to stop, change his name and read rules by a few people but did'nt work. There were other people just cursin a bit but i did'nt take the numbers, but this guy is a dirtbag. You guys did a nice job, floors are tough work, especially the sanding and keepin with the grain, it's easier to ruin a floor than most would think. His daughters a little cutie, shes got alot more hair than dad. heh heh. I shouldnt laugh, my heads shaved too. I could always help with carpentry if needed, but I leave the floor refinish to others, i'd do it on my own because if I ruined it i'd hafta kill myself.

It's cool, I'd be grumpy too. If it makes ya feel better, I live close enough to ya to just come and kick me in person next time. Are they actually refinishing the floor as far as clear and all that, or just repairing loose boards? All that sandin gets messy, i've done it b4, did'nt care for it. I'll stick to finish carpentry, thats what i'm good at.

That sounds cool. Have you tried any of it yet? I have a Neo2 Platinum w/ AMD64 3000. I would be interested in knowing how good it works. I've never tried overclocking before, always a little scared to.

When do ya think we would be able to use some of the new ones? Is it a Steam Issue,or just crappy maps that people made?

I've been using AMD cpus for a few years and been very happy with performance and you can save a few bucks. Alot of the new mobos have very good onboard sound,mine has 6.1 and its every bit as good as my Audigy which is now sitting on a shelf. Another thing to consider to save $$$, is reusing your existing case and power supply if theyre up to snuff. The main cash dump should be in vid card in my opinion, I use ATI and love em, the customer support is awesome and if your power supply is at least 350 - 400 you can use it, if you go Nvidia, they require a lot of juice if I remember correctly about a 600w supply.
