  1. runs very nice. 1280*1024 @ 85Hz (ya i know I need a new monitor) Max everything avg 75-90 during battle, often see 170+ while running around

  3. Seeing as Nintendo is usually the lesser of the 3 systems to be bought (PS, XBox, Nintendo), they always have to come up with new ideas, and this one is defiantly a neat idea. I think Nintendo has stepped up in this console, and are going to have alot more of us "Coinsurer’s" talking. I use the term Coinsure loosely because I know alot of people who are programmers and have been fooling around with electronics / equipment have more respect of Nintendo because of what new idea's they come up with and how they are implemented. Anyways, that's just my feeling. Always, Nintendo released their design for their new "Controller" and might I say it's defiantly different. This is an interesting read, and I suggest that people who want a system that ISNT a computer *cough* Ps3, and XBox 360 *cough* read this.
  4. norton ghost like ZD said, or if you dont have norton im sure you have nero. that has a backup option in there.
  5. Only 4 away! WOW.. wait.. dont just just need 5?
  6. yea.. it would stutter for like 1/2 second, sometimes a second. screen would flash, sometimes lines would appear on teh screen then go normal then bewm crash. almost sounds like the same thing. what motherboard was giving you the preoblem?
  7. So I found the problem. Apparently there is a problem bettween ATI 9500pro > 9700 and certain MSI Bios'. To fix this I had to do 2 things. 1) Turn fast write on, 2) lower to 4x AGP. While this is stable, I plan on playing around with some settings and getting it back up to 8x
  8. This is why I posted this, because this was just put on as a temporary mod. Just to make it different from the other servers, I guess we can play around with the addition of some new maps and such.
  9. shouldnt matter, dvd decrypter takes that out. But on a side note, if you copy a DVD and dont want all those extra's (because they often take up alot of space) in DVD Decrypter you can make it so it only selectes the movie.. I believe it's somthing in Edit --> then select main movie and IFO files only. often times DVD's are 7+ gigs with the addons, so when you go to compress it on one dvd some quality is lost. but if you take out the extra's you can often bring it down to like 4gig, which will improve the quality. Some people say they cant see the difference with just using DVD Shrink, but often I can. I dont really look at the extra's anways, that is why they are taken out when I backup my dvd's.. yea.. back up. .
  10. I would sugest setting up the server on a different port. But then again, why a school would shut down port 27015 is beyond me. Another thought that came to mind is the fact that im assuming that you and your friends played CS at home, but are now AT school on a different lan. Try Try deleting your "client registry.blob" file. Check this out if you still have problems
  11. changing the bios is the same with any board. download the updated bios and the bios flash utility create boot disk (or cdrom) with said utility and bios on it. flash reboot.
  12. dvd decrypter is teh best. it's free and it can take out all the extra's
  13. try running housecall on your computer. if it doesnt automatically disinfect them, it will show you the lcoation of the file in question and you can delete it yourself.
  14. Warcraft3 Mod GarysMod SuperHero Mod Zombie mod is on the server at the present time HL2 - CTF

  17. *update* ran the memtester. had to make a bootable cd w/ it though seeing as I dont have a floppy drive. 3 passes no errors. Next step is going to be disconnecting a cd burner and a hard drive, see if that helps. if it does, well I guess it's time for a new PSU.
  18. My first thought it was my video card, that is one of the reasons I just bought the new one I have also had problems with this card in the past as well, had to buy a new fan yadda yadda. But I will run that mem test and give ya teh results.
  19. For the past while ive had windows crashing on me. First i thought it was a bad install of xp 64-bit, so I reinstalled and reinstalled.. then I went back to xp pro, reinstalled again. I dont have chance to see what is happining to cause the crash so the question at hand is... does anyone know of a program which keeps a log of your system processes and writes it to a file once a crash is imminant?
