  1. I posted here instead of sports talk because I was hoping to find out if anyone is going to be going to this fight? I am hoping to make it out there and would be interested in trying to meet up depending on schedules and stuff. http://www.ufc.com/index.cfm?fa=eventDetai...ard&eid=400
  2. I got a voicemail from big donkey fans! I haven't called them back yet to let them know I'm working in vegas.
  3. I read this book a long time ago. One of the first times I was playing in some of the olden-est of days I was playing and someone called him a f*g. He stuck him down, spamming it over and over and there was a lightning bolt mod. I thought it was awesome and had found a fun place to zone and play some serious games without the stress. So I asked the admin if he was Bob Lee Swagger. http://www.shootermovie.com/ http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/shooter/
  4. That's ridiculous (in the good way)
  5. Sweet, merciful bliss ah the convertible concept @ MT
  6. As Ali G would say, "Booyah kasha!" Fedor is the man, I can't wait to see him fight again. As for UFC 66, I have to give a big thanks to Spike TV for hooking me up last minute. Not the best seats in the house but I was there for a huge fight! Anyway, most of my pix didn't turn out very good and most of what I did take was video. I guess my drinking & photog skills are limited to second row. Here are a few: Ran into Tito before the fight, here's the only non-blurry: Arlovski takes the ring: Chuck takes the ring: After a few hours of "socializing" at Centrifuge I ran into the champ and this is the best I got! And his buddy, the Pride welterweight champ Dan Henderson:
  7. I'm just glad I was there to watch it! Now I'm patiently waiting for the Pride fights to start and see if Hunt can drop Fedor--I sure hope not. I haven't gotten to my camera yet but I'll see if I can pull off any good video or shots from UFC last night. I think I got some pictures, but I know I had a few drinks.
  8. Ok, I've been watching MMA for years. I remember watching UFC 1 when I was in like highschool! And now, what? 15 years later we have a celestial alignment to bring us one of the biggest nights of UFC fights on Saturday and Pride on Sunday. I went to the UFC weigh in today at the MGM and am still waiting to find out if I'm getting tix. I'll buy it on PPV if I have to, but I'm hoping to be there, and I am definitely watching Pride from Japan on NYE! Tito - Chuck is going to be a great fight and either one can pull it off. I honestly don't care who wins because it is going to be amazing. Over in Pride, Feydor is going to be fighting Mark Hunt. He can knock him out or submit him, but Hunt does have knock out power. I can't wait for the weekend to start!
  9. Happy birthday and many happy returns.
  10. Merry Christmas from Las Vegas! http://www.jtkt.com/chief/santa/hohoho.swf <A quick Christmas card I made to email out to friends>
  11. Haha! With the new Congress this might make us eligible for a grant...

  13. Um, hello? The A-Team? YES!
  14. The best light show I ever saw was the Dead at soldier field in the summer of '93 (Sting opened). There was a huge storm out over Lake Michigan with lightning and clouds and fog--it was better than anything they could have paid for and went well with the video, lights, and pyro. That aside, the Led Zepplin No Quarter tour had really great lights too I never figured out how they made some of them work.
  15. Ya, it was a good show--I'm glad I went. It was kind of funny because there were LOTS of white people, only a couple of not straight Latinos, didn't see but maybe 2 asians. (I'm a people watcher). What really jumped out were the rediculous number of TALL freaks. I'm talking 30% of the audience was over 6'2"--I've never seen anything like it. There were a ton of students and I realized I'm getting old because I couldn't tell if they were highschool or college. There were also a very low number of high-functioning emos, and to be honest I expected more emos and more of the weird ones. As for the music the opening band and all the way through was good. Glad I went!
  16. http://www.deathcabforcutie.com/ There used to be a regular with the name Death Cab, but I'm referring to his namesake band. Any fans? I've got tickets for the show tomorrow at the Joint at Hard Rock Casino. I've never seen them but I've been a fan of the music--it's a small venue but I'm not sure if they're going to be a good concert band.
  17. There's a contest to be a sports show reporter--this is legit. If you're into sports or wanna be on TV here's your shot! http://www.visitlasvegas.com/vegas/features/bdssp/index.jsp Good luck...
  18. Thanks fellas, I managed to sneak out of the office at 3 and had a couple of drinks and called it a day. 32 agrees me. But I think I'm getting old. It's 330am and I'm awake!
  19. So I made it out to the Hard Rock Casino for the Ultimate Finale of season four of The Ultimate Fighter. It was at the Joint. Got the hookup from Spike TV which included 2nd row seats. The Spike rep is a guy from where I used to work in Chicago and he was able to expense a lot of bloody marys and beer before going to the Spike after party for dinner and stuff. I didn't bring my camera, so I had to use my camera phone! So I guess you won't have to suffer through all the pix this time.

Haha! UFC 63, 64 and PrideFC after just moving here, like I said I feel like a school girl at Christmas! And I'm never going to live down that stubble!

So this fight thing is working out pretty good. Unfortunately I have to get up in the morning so I didn't go out afterward, but still. These tickets are like a raise! And what a way to spend the evening! Fedor is an absolute machine, so cool and relaxed. He looks like he looks on TV--for some reason I expected him to look like he was actually trying, but he doesn't. I may post up again for a rant on the Nevada state athletic commision, though. The rules were...pooey. I was fifth row with comped tickets from Best Damn Sports Show, but the people behind us had to pay $700! I was right by Vanderlay for some of the early action, he speaks not a lick of English. He does undertand thumbs up! He was also enjoying the evening. But this was the main reason for attending. What a fight! There were tons of others, but this is what I came for. And I wasn't disapointed He was though. He got worked over and tapped out hard core. And me outside Thomas & Mack Center at UNLV waiting for Pride FC to come to the US for the first time!
  22. Man, I feel like it's Christmas. I can't wait for tonight's fights! Fedor is going to win--it seems silly to think otherwise. Coleman is 42 and Fedor is just unstoppable. The fight card for tonight is about as deep as any I've ever heard of. I will post pictures tonight, but my stomach is tingling like I'm a school girl! The site is barely working with all the people from around the world hitting it, but the fight card will come up if you wait long enough: http://www.pridefc.com/pride2005/index_new_temp.php Emelianenko - Coleman Shogun Rua - Kevin Randleman Dan Henderson - Vitor Belfort Baroni - Nishijima and a few other fights!
  23. You actually get to go 2 for 1 on Lufthansa on the flight and then you get registration/insurance and you save 7 odd percent on the purchase price. Then they ship it to your dealer. It's a sweet deal called European Delivery: http://www.bmwusa.com/bmwexperience/europeandelivery/savings
