Hello, this is [OS]ResOlutiOn, ive been playing on yuor server for abuot a month now and have been having a pretty good time, i first found out abuot it when TFR my old clan joined the MCC, well my friend came over today and was looking to play some counter-strike so i decided that i would let him, he set his name to "i like boys" and double-clicked on the desktop icon that i have for your server. he got a message that says that due to previous cheat detection i have been banned from all secure servers, i dont really understand this because i have never cheated nor had hacks on my computer. I've been banned from only 1 server prior to this and that was the 14k server i used to play on when i first started to play. I would really like to be unbanned so that i could play on your server because its one of my favorites, if you could help me sort this problem out that would be great. Thx. **edit** it appears that i have been banned from every counter-strike server known to man, or atleast all connected by the valve anti-cheat and i wont be unbanned until sometime in 2008. i could really use some help here. -ResO

i dont know why i was banned but i think it was because i said "ahh chit" after getting owned...so i dont know

Im not sure how... But I tried to play today on my real wonid and I was banned... I swear it worked a few weeks ago... Anyway, I'm not sure why I was banned, but if its for something I did, i apologize. 813033 thx

I tried logging into the server this morning and noticed that I was banned from the server. I don't remember any admin banning me so it must have been done remotely. I don't remember doing anything extremely out of the ordinary but maybe I did and could be wrong. For that I apologize. I would just like some clarification on this issue if possible. Thx in advance.

Nobody likes a lot of negativity. None of us enjoy when clients are unhappy, especially long-time community members. I want you guys to know that we are addressing are admining internally, in a very serious way, and at a very rapid pace, and without the "If you don't like it, leave" attitude that we have had in the past. Without our clients, we might as well have a private server. While the general use of trop is continually growing, the atmosphere of enjoyment has been declining on an overall basis. True, many people that post here in the "banned" forums could go away w/o us caring, but many we don't want to see go. Here are a few of the many things we are agressively discussing: 1) Mmmm who are banning too much 2) Options other than the quick ban, including kicks, temp bans, and clear warnings. 3) Specific steps for specific behaviors. There are more, but those are the major ones. In the end, we want to start an upward trend in the server aura. Thanks, Fatty

A real life friend of mine just told me he was banned from Trop. He said he was 9-0, didnt say anything either via voice or typing and was given the big ol'ban. Apparently, he had tk'd someone by accident but had apologized. Is this how players are treated lately? I play on trop rarely so I'm not sure how things are run anymore so i'd like to get to understand what the official rules on banning really are because the ones stated in the server don't seem to state anything about going 9-0 and minding their own business. In any event, I don't want to draw this out to be some flame riddled thread. But by banning him, you pretty much banned my group of real life friends who play CS since they usually play together, much like MwR did when they first starting showing in fox. Please let me take the time and apologize for literally not informing our new recruits of the Mmmm policy. I assume that because he was wearing a DLM team that you expected he already knew the rules and whats explicitly expected from MCC teams as well as any player on the server. I've been very busy lately and have only met up with them in a coupla scrims. They are just getting into pubbing around the community and 'donkey' came over voice followed by a admin warning and a questioning from our recruit Quantum followed by what is to believed was a permban. Again, this was my fault and I take the responsibility. I've talked to Q and he is now fully aware of whats here. He's a good guy. m0m

Ummmm I was just playing today at 1:14 and I got killed a dumb why and I just said g a y like that and he said you are gone and I am like what and he said you know that we don't accept that launge and I am new I played at your sever for like 2 weeks and I never got in trouble for that before and I just said srry before he banned me! Alright i was on trop server this morning and i was banned by someone through rcon i think, but anyways he said just admit you are cheating and i will let you stay for 5 mins. What The is that crap i dont hack im just good. Ive been playin cs for 3 years, I started GxC (Game X Change) we now ahve 25+a members with 5 servers, I am ranked 8 on our east sever(the one i play on) i am ranked 35 out of 13000 on another server. Sorry what i am getting at is that i dont hack. You guys can search my comp if you like before you let me back on (if you do) but i just wanted to let you know who ever that was can blow me, I dont cheat never have never will but thanks for that. A person names fluent was swearing through the mic being mean to everyone and had a bad attitude. He was very mean and volgur and if you see him playing I know what you would do. I know I am not a admin but I don't think anyone wants someone in there like that. I think he acted like that because there was no admin so sometime go under a diffrent name.. Ok I got banned and i was wondering if someone could unban me please. I dont play much anymore but when i do i like to play on your server. its fun and right around my competition level.... er i think =) .... but i dont talk trash anymore or anything i just play... (not like i did before)... i guess i got banned for hitting "retry" to many times while trying to join the server while it was full... im sorry i didnt know i could be punished for doing this or if it effected the server in anyway. If it did sorry. I would just like to be unbanned so I could play again. Server was Tropolis. I will post my wonid if someone is going to unban me.. Thnx either way.

Well, I lost my resolve since Fox and Plat and TF have been empty all day. Anyhow, I got on Trop again even though I said I wasnt going to. Im under alias gettin along with everybody and BAM, I am banned?! Here is what happened, I killed Mag and said: ahaha nuib. Then I said: Because Mag and I kid around all the time. I was gonna tell him it was me, since he is one of the few admins I get along with. But, right after my smily face, I am not only kicked, I am banned. I had decided that I would give up Trop for awhile but stick around the forums since I like all the regs here. I really get along well with all the older Mmmm (Rev, Fat) and a couple of the newer ones (Gunny, Mag, Bean, Lunk). But whoever the heck banned me for poking fun at Mag, get a grip! If it was Mag, then I will be surprised, because I have done this to him a million times and he can take it like a man. The only other admin in there was Boondock. I dont know this guy. I think he mighta been the one who kiked me the other day as well for nothing. Fat, Rev, you guys hardly play anymore, I can understand, I dont play as often as I like anymore. But this is getting ridiculous. Now I am going to have to go reinstall my CS because my auto-connect feature has been broken. I would like to know who banned me and why. I said nothing except gj, nt all game long, and the sec I rib Mag I am banned. I will stick around forums, because I like you guys. But I wont be playing in Trop anymore at all I think. I dunno what was up but we were just playing iceworld and there were 2 admins on. Mad Bean and Monkie Pox who was under alias. Now I had a score of like 54-15 or something along those lines. I asked if anyone wanted to switch with me to the terrorist team and one person said yes so I switched. Next thing you know. I'm kicked. I try and retry to get back in the game but the instant I connect I'm kicked again. I dunno what it was for nor know if I'm banned or not but I would just like some explanation as to why I was kicked. I dunno maybe there is none and its just cause I had a good score but who knows. I don't know what responsability I should take here according to your rules so I won't take any of it. A valid reason why I was kicked and/or Banned? will sufice. Thx.

Ok i have seen a lot of people being banned for nothing. lIke jeffeboys post....what is that about Mmmm.. what are you guys doin...if you want people to play on your server then let the rules be known and we will follow them...you know it is us that makes the server right...you want people to buy reserve slots and you do this stuff...LOL...I know some people become so involved with this game it becomes real life to them...but please remember...it is a video game..the fact that I am involved in such drama is embarrasing... I am perfectly willing to follow all rules in a server just as Jeffeboy said...but i cant follow rules i dont know about. Hoffman

The rules for [Mmmm] servers and forums can be summed up rather simply - act maturely and you'll have absolutely no problems - be a bonehead, admit it, and you'll be forgiven - be a jerk and we'd rather not have you around. Everyone seems to argue over where the line is drawn between the above. The 'got banned rules' is a good indication, but several people just do not follow them. Most say "it's just a game, lighten up" which for the most part is true. But the game is only what the players make it. It's the focal point of this community, but still people ARE the community. In that respect, it's more of a hobby than a game. Mmmm tries to make this hobby enjoyable by all, without the cursing, whining, and other garbage that goes on elsewhere. But still we get "what's your problem" and "you're on a power trip" arguments all the time when someone tries to enforce the rules. Mostly leading to the conclusion that the person probably doesn't envision the community the same way. Be polite, be respectful of each other, and you'll get that in return. I promise. If you know what you did, say "yep, I did it, no excuse". If you're baffled as to why you've been kicked/banned/slapped, etc., say that. Don't assume you've been oppressed either way. Any questions?

Well you closed the topic with leaving a question hanging that i must answer. I was not playing under an alias I was standing in his room when this happend. I do have business because he is my roomate and I watched what happend. I told him that it was some noob sucking up to Mmmm... I did not know that the admins hide under a different name and gave ridiculous orders that noone has ever heard of to regulars. If you would have stated that it was a new policy or had it under the rules somewhere, im sure all would be fine. (REALLY, how hard would that have been to state that?, doesnt it seem like that would be the most logical and practical thing to say to a regular????) Why didnt you tell him it was a new policy after he asked who you were? hrm, i dont know what your tone of voice is for nice, but when he asked who you were you didnt sound to nice.... and he did shoot you right before he logged, I dont blame him, If I was playing on my regular server with my regular name and some dude(not an Admin) started ordering me to change my name and not shuting up about it, i would shoot him as well... *Edit* Well sorry if i tinkled anyone off, It is Mmmm's server and if Mmmm wants to treat player/regulars this way its their choice. Also, Count me out of the LAN this summer, if it is going to consist of people behaving immaturely like this, I do not want to have anythign to do with it.

Now I know as of late there have been a few bannings that some may consider unjust, unfair, or even uncalled for. You must realize that when an admin bans someone for swearing, or making reference to drugs that we are doing it to better the server because we feel that these are just a few things not needed to make the game fun. I realize that at times it may seem unfair, and sometimes you are right, but please bear with us here at Mmmm because we are not out to get anyone intentionally, we just want to make the game more fun for you. I know I play the game to get away from the world where drug use is highly common, and so is swearing, and they are some of the last things I want to hear when I hit that button in HLSW to join tropolis or GD12. Next time you feel the need to lash out please take a moment to look at it from our vantage point, because we honestly are not just out there looking and banning anyone we come in contact with. With all of the new people around you must also realize that they do not know the veteren members of the community and they do not know of the jokes you play on the other people, so you must be prepared for something like what happened to gOOt, (just for reference gOOt, ) where he was joking around and he was banned by someone who didnt catch his style of poking fun at someone. There are many rules we ask you to abide by, but if you should remember just one I would say remember to always follow an admins instructions when asked to do something, because sometimes we may see something like a drug reference for a clan tag (even if it is just a coincidence) we may ask you to change it, and we may ban you if you do not change it. Please don't let this rub you the wrong way, because I just wanted a way to reach as many people as possible and make sure you understand that the reason we do some of the things we do are because we feel it will help make the server better for the community to play on. The CCC is a great group of guys, girls, ladies, kids, and old timers and I for one am and will always be proud to say that I was part of this community. Thank you for your time, Gunny

First of all how am I to know what new policies Mmmm has come up with about drug references which has obviously just taken place in the last couple days. Second of all if I was asked in nicely to take the tag off I would have....but I wasn't he said "Hey hey, take that tag off or leave" before I even got to play a round. Third of all it doesnt stand for pot which is why I spell it PoT" People of Terror" ....you guys should really try asking people about things like this instead of banning them like a newb with admin power. So, I was banned today by an admin named DirtyBird who I assume was under an alias as many of you do so you can randomly ban people for whatever. I was banned for having a PoT tag...OHHH NOOOO I have played on this server for months with this tag and suddenly it is a bannable offense. I have witnessed abuse of power a lot over the last couple weeks mostly by your new members, so much that it has prompted me to register on your forums so I can be heard. Im sure 99% of other people agree with me on this...except Im sure for the people who are tryin to get in Mmmm. But whatever I'm not mad whenever I get unbanned I will be back on the server to shoot these types of people in the face like they deserve. HOLLA Hoffman

I just banned two people for not respecting my request for them to leave drug references out of our server. One was a 30 minute ban on ThuG and the other was a perm ban on PitBull. PitBull will have a reduced ban because I realize it was a little unfair to perm, however it will still be a few hours. I would like to know why people think it is ok to attack an admin after he warns someone about doing something, and when he makes the request the people he is warning laugh at him like he has no say in what they do on the server....it makes no sense. I asked if they thought it was funny and then PitBull continued to make drug references, so I banned him. Just thought I would put this out there for everyone so they understand where the bans came from. Gunny
