All Kill3r October 8, 2004 Share All Kill3r Member October 8, 2004 www.ati.com and get the latest driver there, which would be Catalyst 4.9. I and many other are using a beta driver. This is a direct link to the driver im currently using, approx 25% gain in benchmark score over 4.9. Whatever thats worth. http://www2.ati.com/drivers/hotfix/wxp-w2k-8-07-018380E.exe
spiralstairs October 8, 2004 Share spiralstairs Member October 8, 2004 i was wary of the beta drivers (after reading that they should be approached with caution) but I havent had a single problem with em.

Penty October 8, 2004 Share Penty Member October 8, 2004 I have a Radeon 9500Pro and the only drivers available for 98 are 4.7. Those seem to work fine for me.

ConGregation October 9, 2004 Share ConGregation Member October 9, 2004 Went from the 4.9 to these betas. My framerates increased from 72 and change to 79 and change in the stress test.
Guest zerodamage October 9, 2004 Share Guest zerodamage Guests October 9, 2004 Be sure to cap your fps at your average. If you see it around 65 most of the time, then cap it at 65. Going from 150 to 75 will be felt and can feel like major stuttering.
