Good games

Wondered if anyone else still played these games. Im a big Max Payne freak and have every mod for 1 and 2. Any info on Max 3? Also anyone remember Descent Freespace 1 and 2? Anyone have working copys that I could buy? And really looking for a copy of Xatrix's Kingpin Life of Crime. Its a little old but I still like it.

Max Payne is great. I remember tweaking the weapon settings to create an auto-shotty that could pin people to a wall, super-accurate M16's and other goodies. That doesn't really count as a mod, but it was fun nonetheless.

 

Oh, and I remember a Matrix mod for Max Payne that was a lot of fun too. Good times.

Max Payne is awesome. Max Payne 2 was even better by all accounts (not just graphics), a rare improvement record for sequels. I think I have heard about a Max Payne 3, but I do recall hearing they were in pre-production for a Max Payne movie:

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but even though they promised a 3rd installment of Max Payne, they sold the property. There will be a third game, I believe it's already underway, however, it's not Sam Lake's game any longer, and may well not sound, look or read like Max Payne.

If they dont stick with it the way it is, then it will probably get ruined.

I loved Kingpin. It was a bit gritty but had the best graphics in its day. The AI was pretty bad too, but buying weapons and things at the Pawn-O-Matic made up for it. I would love a second one.

Norguard, my day was starting so well...Oh, wait, no it wasn't. This news didn't help, either.

 

Of course, look at the bright side: You didn't ruin my day.

 

I hope whoever purchased it will stick with the formula and had good, long, in-depth conversations with the design teams to carry the story through to its planned conclusion.
