Mozzarella January 14, 2006 Share Mozzarella Member January 14, 2006 (edited) About three days ago my latency increased drastically in 1 and 2. No other servers have increased for me in gc or others. My latency jumped three times. I was wondering if something changed or if my settings need to be adjusted according to the server. Any suggestions or explainations would be appreciated. stutters January 14, 2006 Share stutters GC Alumni January 14, 2006 a lil while ago, there was a report of major nationwide issues with the ATT backbone. i'm not sure if that has been fixed. m2 posted how to set it up, so here ya go Ok I myself have been experiencing a loss issue lately, I have heard others complaining also. Instead of just comlaining its time to get it fixed. We need evidence to show where this is happening and not just saying its the server. Download Ping Plotter http://www.pingplotter.com/downloads/pngplt_2.exe Then open it up.IP to trace: 216.86.154.199 Then at the bottom left click, # of times to trace: Unlimited, Trace intervals: 1 second, and Samples to include: 100. Then click start and let it run for a good 2 minutes or so. Then go to Edit, Copy as Text and then paste below. We need your help to get everything working perfectly. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

stutters January 16, 2006 Share stutters GC Alumni January 16, 2006 uhm, where do you live? i'm showing mount laurel, nj. is that right? your traceroute shows you go from jersey to settle to sanjose and back to chicago. that's really, really, really weird. there was a report that ATT was having issues. line #9 shows a hop through ATT, #10 is an ip in san jose, and you see the rest. if ATT is making an major network upgrades or replacements, that might explain a route like that. if not, well, who knows. short version: sit tight. its between you and the gameserver, and no one can do much about that. akaM2 January 16, 2006 Share akaM2 Member January 16, 2006 call your isp, tell them you are being routed from NJ to San Jose then to Chicago. Most likely they cant do anything about it. You probably have to sit tight and it will fix itself, try pinging the west server just out of curiosity
{FG}Caesar January 16, 2006 Share {FG}Caesar Member January 16, 2006 yes....our servers have experience teh same issues in both NJ and chicago...all due to Savvis/ATT network issues. Hopefully they will have them fixed soon. We generally see the pings go up for an hour or two for specific peeps, then they tend to settle again. Only to go up again an hour later
