Fatty April 9, 2006 Share Fatty GC Founder April 9, 2006 This will be the one public topic to discuss the server changes for this month. As you've noticed, the following changes have taken place: Recrudescence is now at 208.100.9.88:27015 Project Mayhem is now at 208.100.9.89:27015 We have rented and are testing a dedicated server of our own. This server is on the same network as our current Chicago servers, the only difference is that we are renting our own box. Questions and feedback here please. Guest zerodamage April 9, 2006 Share Guest zerodamage Guests April 9, 2006 My ping seems to be ok at the moment, though yesterday the new server had me over 100 and the old had be at the typical 50-60. Could have been a config thing that has since been worked out. I will post again if it comes up again. EbilDustBunny April 9, 2006 Share EbilDustBunny GC Alumni April 9, 2006 (edited) I'll post that up as soon as I get pingplotter thingy back on my PC... how knew I'd bee using it this much. Every thing ran pretty smooth in game... but when the map changed on me after dust1 when I played... mr.duke and Shazz around 9 something. CS:S froze loading the next map. So I had to close it out and reopen it. That's the only issue that I ran into other then that every thing was cool. both with 299 trace count... YoMamma April 10, 2006 Share YoMamma Member April 10, 2006 (edited) plz tell me you arent complaining about a 35 ping The point is that this new server has only increased ping, not improved it. At best, people claim it's "the same," yet I doubt they actually took the time to compair the old and new servers. Now may I ask, why the change? Money saver? It does not make sense to change over.
