200 mph RC jet

Looks like those guys are having fun.

I have a jet that does b/w 60 and 70 mph (so I'm told). I've yet to fly it, as the planes I have that fly in the 30-40 mph range seem quick enough, and my heli addiction hasn't subsided.

I gotta believe 200 mph is with the wind in a dive tho. That video just did not make it seem that fast.

For some reason it sounds like the jet sounds were dubbed in.

Bah, that doesn't sound like a real jet. Real ones are much louder. :)

Air force jets regularly fly over my house. Got reminded again tonite how loud they can be. Most of the time they are flying around with landing gear down doing circles, but tonite one came in from the east just roaring. Never seen one that looked like this around here. It came flying over at prolly 1500 feet. The sound from it trailed it by about 500 yards or so. Scared the bejeepers outta my son.

It circled back around with landing gear down and was much slower and quieter.

Gotta get my camera ready some time and take pics.

Evidently modern electronics makes such small turbojets feaseable.

I was reading the specs on the JetCat engine, as well as reading a forum thread somewhere on jet engines for model planes (which is evidently a bigger market than I would have figured on), and software seems to be a big factor in running these things.
