Allanon September 18, 2007 Author Share Allanon Member September 18, 2007 (edited) had a random platform error yesterday anytime i tried to launch steam... had to reinstall steam and css (from game backup) but it fixed the issue. Platform error: as in could not connect to the steam network? This could be due to your internet connection or the steam network?? Also this happened after I pre-purchased the Orange Box. A little box popped up saying I needed to re logging after I bought it and I tried to but it gave me that error then I logged out and couldn't log back in. Allanon September 18, 2007 Author Share Allanon Member September 18, 2007 Have you checked the steam forums? Yah there was nothing, it turned out that for some reason I can't use DMZ and use steam... or I don't have a static IP anymore
mookie September 18, 2007 Share mookie GC Alumni September 18, 2007 You shouldn't need a static IP for Steam, and mostly all using the DMZ does is open up all your ports anyway.

Weird... oh well This has happened before, but now I'm not sure why. Oh, and mookie I meant I thought I needed a static IP for DMZ.
