anonymo February 22, 2008 Share anonymo Member February 22, 2008 So, driving into work on Wednesday I notice a lot of smoke coming from our club district, nothing new there (apart from the clubs there's a hydro station that burns stuff ) Anyways, turns out its a six-alarm fire taking out nearly a city block. Here are some pics and some more Luckily no one was hurt, but there's so much damage to such an old part of town, it's really sad. A friend and ex-colleague of mine lives in the apartments just down the street and he's been without power since the start of the blaze, could have been much worse. Thank god for firefighters...those guys are champs! Anyways, thought you guys might like the pics, they're pretty amazing. There's some birds eye shots that our local news had on TV last night so I'm going to have a look for them, from the air it's just amazing how much damage there is. Wolfsblood February 23, 2008 Share Wolfsblood Member February 23, 2008 Wow, that really sucks. That was one of the coolest parts of Toronto. When my wife and I were there several years ago, we loved checking out all the little shops in that area. I hate to see cool historic areas lost like that.
