Preacher April 8, 2008 Share Preacher Member April 8, 2008 I just finished reading the entire Ender series of books by Orson Scott Card and I was blown away. If anyone here likes Sci-Fi books they are a must read. Plus you can get all of the books for almost nothing at www.half.com Just thought I would share
Playaa April 8, 2008 Share Playaa Member April 8, 2008 I must admit, I picked up the first one on a whim (and partially because so many people said it was good) and was pleasently surprised. It was a really good story with really good writing.

dwEEziL April 8, 2008 Share dwEEziL Member April 8, 2008 (edited) Preacher, by "entire Ender series", what do you mean exactly? If all you've read is the first 3-4 books, there's a lot more "Ender" related stuff out there. I've only read the first 5 in the Ender Saga and the 4 books out in the Shadow Saga. I love the stuff. The Ender saga Main article: Ender's Game series * Ender's Game (1985) * Speaker for the Dead (1986) * Xenocide (1991) * Children of the Mind (1996) * First Meetings (2002) - short story collection * "Mazer in Prison" (2005) - short story published online * "Pretty Boy" (2006) - short story published online * "Cheater" (2006) - short story published online * "A Young Man with Prospects" (2007) - short story published online * "The Gold Bug" (2007) - short story published online * "Ender's Stocking" (2007) - short story published online * A War of Gifts: An Ender Story (2007) * Ender in Exile: Ganges (forthcoming) And this series is "Ender-related" as well but focues on Bean. The Shadow saga * Ender's Shadow (1999) - "parallel" novel to Ender's Game * Shadow of the Hegemon (2001) * Shadow Puppets (2002) * Shadow of the Giant (2005) * Shadows in Flight (forthcoming) Edited April 8, 2008 by dwEEziL
Preacher April 8, 2008 Author Share Preacher Member April 8, 2008 Well I read all the ones that were not online except for Shadow of the Giant and First Meetings. I already ordered Shadow of the giant but had not heard of first meetings. The online publishings, are they by Card as well or by misl authors? dwEEziL April 8, 2008 Share dwEEziL Member April 8, 2008 By Card. Here's a list of his work. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_works...rson_Scott_Card Looks like there's one that was recently released, "A War of Gifts: An Ender Story", that I need to pick up and read. I've also read the first book in his Alvin Maker series.

DNA April 9, 2008 Share DNA Member April 9, 2008 No it really has...I have been following it for the last couple of years. It finally got the go ahead at the end of last year...The same guy that did the perfect storm, so it should be very well done. I am sure the writers strike pushed some of it back but I would think that it would be coming out this chirstmas or may of next year.
dwEEziL April 9, 2008 Share dwEEziL Member April 9, 2008 Card has a major hand in (if not doing it entirely himself) the screenplay so it should stay true to the book.
