anonymo August 11, 2008 Share anonymo Member August 11, 2008 Honestly, I woke up thinking it was artillery...left my apartment (I face the wrong way to see it) and drove around for an hour until I heard what had happened on the news. Definitely pretty crazy. I'm not really close enough (about 12 kms away) to have suffered any building damage but I have heard that pieces of shrapnel came down over 20kms away so you never know. On my drive into work this morning I had to drive through thick smoke because a home in the really swanky neighborhood I drive through in the mornings was fully ablaze...starting to think the end is nigh.
