mookie January 20, 2010 Share mookie GC Alumni January 20, 2010 Just saw the Olympics TV schedule a few days ago; looks like about half the curling will be on at various parts of the day. This was definitely my favorite thing from the last Olympics. Anyone else looking forward to this?

mookie January 20, 2010 Author Share mookie GC Alumni January 20, 2010 Right now I'm mostly keeping an eye on Madeleine Dupont (January). I'll be interested to find out if China's any good. They're in the women's and men's tournaments. Johnson's team didn't make it I guess, which is too bad. I'd have to think that Scotland is a favorite for the men and their match with Canada on the 20th will be big. Ott will be one I'm watching for sure, but it doesn't look like many of Switzerland's matches will be on TV.

anonymo January 20, 2010 Share anonymo Member January 20, 2010 whoa whoa whoa, wait a minute here...... did.... did I just enter the Twilight Zone? Definitely...I'm starting to think border-area Americans are more like stereotypical Canadians than any actual Canadians are.
mookie January 20, 2010 Author Share mookie GC Alumni January 20, 2010 If you'd just drink beer like a stereotypical Canadian, you wouldn't need to cut up the ice.
Ringadon January 21, 2010 Share Ringadon Member January 21, 2010 People laugh at me when I say that my favourite part of the winter Olympics is curling but it is and I'm really looking forward to it. P.S. where'd you find the Schedule?
samurai nightling January 21, 2010 Share samurai nightling Member January 21, 2010 When it comes to winter olympics, im more of a snowboarding/luge/bobsled guy. I like the high speed and trick stuff.

ordersin January 21, 2010 Share ordersin Member January 21, 2010 no really , let's talk about a sport, snowboarding. If you'd just drink beer like a stereotypical Canadian, you wouldn't need to cut up the ice.
boiler January 21, 2010 Share boiler Member January 21, 2010 The winter Olympics are for the downhill events (skiing, snowboarding), people on skates (hockey, speed skating, even some figure skating *shutup*), and the bob sleddy type events. I have a hard time legitimizing "sports" if they can be played while holding/drinking a beer. a big weight with a handle and a couple of brooms? rofl
mookie February 16, 2010 Author Share mookie GC Alumni February 16, 2010 http://www.nbcolympics.com/curling/resultsandschedules/index.html Pretty nice, you can go over to the "game shot" for a match and it shows the whole play by play for the end. Looks like the Scots are down 1 going into the 10th end; wish I could watch that on TV.
Ringadon February 16, 2010 Share Ringadon Member February 16, 2010 I got to catch some of the US v Germany Game but I had to go before I the finish of the 6th end, now they're showing hockey. Stupid Classes.
