When in a game all you should of had to do was type "status" in the console of any server. When somehow my password got reset and I couldn't access my account, I had to send in actual pictures of the box with the game code and my username. This was for CS:S a couple years back though, and I also had the physical box, never bought it online like I do with all new games on Steam. Hope this all gets worked out, I've been there and done that and it sucks majorly. Was there anywhere recently that you gave account info out, that maybe looked like Steam but was a phishing site?
