Doom 3

I never played any of the Doom games, but I think I'll have to pick up Doom 3. It looks pretty sweet. The site just received some content of late. A few beautiful screenshots (made one my wallpaper), some official wallpapers, and a trailer. Don't get scared now.

I hope it doesn't suck. I mean, Unreal 2 had a big hype buildup (not nearly like this though) and it blew. One good thing they got going for them is that Carmack is the man when it comes to game engines and they know that if Doom3 sucks, no one will want to license the engine and that is where they get the lion share of their money.

i loved the original doom and wolfenstein, great games by ID. But i just watched the trailer and could not have been more unimpressed. It looks like a glorified HL2, the story isnt even as good imo. I dunno, maybe it will be good, but im with dweez, alot of hype, lets hope it mounts up to some of it.

I played the leaked alpha of this game about a year ago. It looked good and had good physics for sure and even in the short time I had a few things scare the crap out of me. However Im not nearly as excited for it as I am for HL2.
