All Kill3r January 6, 2004 Share All Kill3r Member January 6, 2004 then your buying outdated hardware for the same price as top of the line 800fsb cpus... just seems like such a waste
NOFX January 6, 2004 Share NOFX Member January 6, 2004 better performance from 800 chips and you get hyperthreading with 800 chips. And the chips cost the same price.
[Mmmm]Homer January 6, 2004 Share [Mmmm]Homer Member January 6, 2004 I'll envy you for your 800mhz bus. Isn't that enough?
flux January 7, 2004 Author Share flux Member January 7, 2004 lol ok.... ill be sure to get it then. lol jk. sounds good ... but it'll be a hassle. but w/e
dwEEziL January 7, 2004 Share dwEEziL Member January 7, 2004 Might be a hassle but is well worth it. Best thing to do is buy the main parts (such as your mobo...I see the mobo as a main part while the CPU is just an important one...you can swap out a compatible cpu when you want but mobo upgrades are more of a hassle) at the highest possible tech level that you can afford and then buy the other parts. If you could only afford a lesser CPU at the time but then you can still upgrade to a better one later. If you get a lesser mobo, you will already be capped at your CPU speed. dwEEziL January 12, 2004 Share dwEEziL Member January 12, 2004 I don't know much about Intel boards but that one looks pretty decent. It only has 2 SATA connections (I would prefer more) but everything else looks pretty good, including the price.

[Mmmm]Homer January 12, 2004 Share [Mmmm]Homer Member January 12, 2004 That Intel looks decent, I'd look for a few more features for only a few more dollars myself. Asus w/ RAID for $
